Friends! I want to tell you a little bit about America, but I don't even know what topic to take. This country is unique, and I've come to love it. Yes, it's not perfect, I think there are no perfect ones. It opens up gradually, initially you don't understand why everyone wants to come here, but living here, you begin to understand it. It is comfortable for life and calms your nervous system, you become confident and calm, friendly and tolerant.
This country accepted me and my family as equals. I do not know how to explain this to you... Especially the Russians, maybe they won't understand me, but we are Koreans. Every day in Russia we heard that we moved, although I was born in St. Petersburg, I am half Russian. Russian Russians, we speak perfect Russian, I'm sorry, but we are more literate and better than many Russians. But every day, my girls, my husband, and I faced racism. Can you imagine that? Every day! Casually or directly, every day! I'm not going to talk about everything, I'm not petty, I move forward and leave the bad behind. The most terrible moment was when my eldest daughter and I were walking on the subway, if my memory serves me correctly, it was at the Vladimirskaya metro station, football fans were following us, I don't remember what year it was anymore. In short, a bald crowd was walking behind me and chanting Nazi slogans, and I was afraid to turn around so as not to see our "Asian faces." But we walked more slowly, because the stream would not allow and the crowd was gaining on us. At some point, they caught up with us and started hitting us with bats and kicks... I covered my girl with myself, and it was good that the crowd was just passing by... she passed and we were safe. Do you know about the "white wagon" promotions? When Russian neo-Nazis saw Asians in the subway, they beat them with a crowd and disappeared... Ohhhhh... That's not what I wanted to talk about... So, my husband is Sir (sir) or mister here, but in Russia he was a "non-Russian chock". Many people in Russia do not like the word "tolerance". But it's a wonderful thing. Thanks to this tolerance, you Russians are also respected and accepted as equals here, despite the outbreak of war, because here, they simply respect a person, whoever he may be (I mean, status, nationality, citizenship, language).
