With films being short on availability in 2020 due to corona virus. It's been left to streaming services to fill the gap.

Netflix has been moving into the movie market with some heavy hitters such as Gerald's game,Bright and now Extraction.

Since the end of the 80's Action movies went down hill and where in short supply.The best action movie/movies that i can think of 

are the Bourne film series which Extraction set pieces fell like they take their cue from.

Extraction stars Chris Hemsworth also producing with the Russo brothers hot of their Marvel: Avengers (Endgame) success.With director Sam Hargrave

who also worked on Endgame. This film feels like a old school action film and thats no bad thing grab your popcorn switch the lights off and strap in 

for a 1hr 57 mins intense ride. Chris Hemsworth is a mercenary that does not fear death and takes on almost suicide like missions is hired to help a drug lords son who has been taken hostage. Tyler Rake (Chris Hemsworth) takes on the corrupt police and a special forces Indian solider. At first we the audience don't care for Tyler or the Indian special forces solider but as we learn more about their motivations and what is on the line for this to ex solider's whose skill level is far beyond the local police force. 

The Action set pieces are just pure 80's blood and gore straight up fun this isn't a deep film but its a great fun ride. The reason this film also

stands out is because it is agenda free we have had a number of films hitting us over the head with agendas at the expense of the movie

and it's sad that is happening Extraction cuts right through even though the media has deemed it a "white savior" film that is NOT the case.

Once this movie starts it does not stop its a great ride using the show don't tell method when it does slow down in the middle its for a good reason

and uses the time well to let the audience find out more about the kidnapped kid who it seems has dreams of being something more honorable than

a drug lord. We also might a small bit part from a great stranger things actor.

Overall Extraction gets action right one of the best action films i have seen in some time a would recommend this movie.
