I have read on internet sites and emails from very well intentioned people that we are supposedly in a new paradigm of consciousness. They characterize this new milieu as “ascension.” The implication is that all you have to do is to generally point towards “goodness,” and then the rising energies will automatically carry you into a new heaven and new earth. Their message is that this incoming wave will lift you into some sort of higher-than-fourth-dimensional being (taking the fourth dimension as the cascading through time of three-dimensional space.)

Wrong.

Yes, this approach contains a sliver of truth in that we have entered the Aquarian Age. Saint Germain has taken over from Jesus, the Hierarch of the Piscean Age, as the Hierarch of Earth for the next 2000 years. While Saint Germain certainly is eager to bestow His largess magnanimously, blessing us with a tremendously loving benevolence, this influx remains largely couched as opportunity. The Way is open more easily than in some times past for souls to realize spiritual progress. It’s like Saint Germain and his heavenly helpers have revamped our infrastructure. He’s paved some dirt roads, removed lots of potholes, and even lowered the price of gas. But we are still in the driver seat of our destiny.

The new Aquarian energies are not a free ticket to ride on some magic carpet into your immortality. You are still the same soul with the same karma, albeit with an awe inspiring phalanx of Aquarian Helpers to usher you along. Your past misuse of consciousness must still be balanced by invoking the necessary light and using it in service to realign your outlook with an in-look that magnifies the Lord, the Reality of your Higher Self. Still, also, you must balance the love, wisdom and power of your life’s expression. And you must still fulfill your divine plan. [1]

So the bottom line of this piece is that the laws governing consciousness have not changed since time began—and it never did begin. Brahman is breathing universes in and out throughout unimaginable cycles. (You don’t need to get your knickers in a twist over how long He’s been capable of fogging a mirror.) The ancient teachings are ageless, and they do not change just because some speculators or some so-called spiritual teachers who have not fully assimilated the Law of the One or even if some snake oil salesmen say this or that. It is and always will be up to you to realize the One You ARE. No master or Cosmic Being, no matter how much mastery they may have realized is capable of doing your job for you. You are unique, and only your very own beloved Higher Self can identify, experience and become the ongoing infinite mystery THAT I AM.

It Is Possible to Fail

Several ascended masters have counseled their students that souls upon the wheel of birth and death need to realize that spiritual ignorance doggedly indulged through enough time/space cycles will be fatal. We humans are in Life’s incubator, learning the precepts of spiritual Law and proving our eternal resonance with divine Love in and as the One. Our classroom experience extends over many embodiments and many thousands of years, if necessary. Us trial-and-error learners are graced with ample opportunity—and then some—but it doesn’t continue forever and a day.

Yes, the soul of man/woman can die.

The second death described in the book of Revelation is a real possibility. There can come a time when a soul misuses Life’s energetic divine Love to such an extent that the Great Karmic Board of spiritual overseers—eight ascended masters charged with guiding souls and enforcing the Law of the One—determine that a soul has produced so much negative karma that the chances of their ever balancing it are essentially nil. Then all of that soul’s investment in consciousness is dissolved and consumed. That soul’s I AM Presence then creates another solar focus and begins the evolutionary trek anew.

Couch Potato Spirituality

Thus, the only useful approach to Life is to take responsibility for it. You mustn’t sleepwalk or lollygag through. That doesn’t mean you need to carry the world on your shoulders like an Atlas. But it does adjure you to realize that your righteousness lies in responding to the configurations of infinite mystery that constitute your immortal individuality…and to do so every single moment.

But don’t let that scare you. Of course, during the formative stages of Selfhood, as a human being learning the ropes of consciousness in and as the One, many moments forged in forgetfulness of the Presence will accrue imbalanced karmic energy that will later need to be addressed and requalified as light. But we are graced with a karmic holding tank that allows you to address and transmute just a little bit of that karma every day. (If you had to deal with it all at once, you’d instantly be crisped.)

The Way to bring about that healing is to stay awake to the living Presence of God, your Higher Self, in your heart. It hasn’t much of anything to do with some magic oncoming wave of light. I call relying upon that sort of wishful thinking “couch potato spirituality.” The homeward Path is not a spectator sport. You must “disturb the Force,” or you are not even on the playing field. But your disturbance of the Force must not leave you sticking out like a sore loser. Every image of “other” that you propose must be disposed as unity.

Heart centered living in the NOW has ALWAYS been the Way of higher consciousness. It floods you with light and access to higher dimensions. But this has been as available to spiritual aspirants thousands of years ago as it is now. Ascribing that expanded awareness to some special magic coming upon us is shortsighted. The longer view will impel you to a diligent, spiritual, lower-ego dissolving practice—the VERY difficult work of STAYING heart centered all the time. Yes, as mentioned above, we are now graced by Saint Germain and all of the ascended host with the largess that graces the beginning of any age, like a store’s grand opening celebration. But remember well: every grace you receive is but a tool that enables the leverage needed to hoe a tough row.

You ARE Christ/Soul expressing the One and surrendering any sense of separation preventing your Higher Self’s fruitful cultivation.

Your Causal Body comprises your divine plan. That divine plan does not “belong” to you. It doesn’t “single you out.” Instead, it “facets you in” by providing unique archetypes of the One I AM Presence that you are graced to develop through your artistry as that Presence in evolutionary mode.
