Red lips.
A stain.
Not on a glass
Nor a napkin
But on a pillow case
Along with a few strands of hair
And black smudges near the edge.
Seagrean contrasts against
The dark stained wood
that surrounds her bed.
An alarm goes off
And with a quick motion
She silences it;
At the cost of a glass.
It was full of water but now lays
Shattered along the wood.
Her clothes on the floor
Are now drenched
But she pays it no mind.
