Cracking through the sky;
You are the lightning to my thunder.
Your presence breathes life into this worn machine.
My mechanical soul walks on.
Blackened clouds leave heaven unseen;
Far beneath, I gaze up in wonder.
Gracefully, again, you flow across; My shout a reply.
We'll continue this dance till dawn.
The mornings fresh air blows
Through an ocean of grass, bathing in the sun.
Reaching for you I stretch; caressed by your breath.
Nourished by you my trunk grows strong.
Without warmth and wind, I await a sure death.
Stay; At least until my time has come
And my leaves no longer grow.
Though I'm gone; Time will flow along.
