The blades of grass danced and swayed in the wind.
The grass at our backs attempted to dance
But our blanket stifled their movement.
The sky above us was in transition to a different light.
We were together from dawn to dusk and in the absence of the sun, the moon brought a new light to our day.
Looking up at the newly blackened sky, like a mirror, in your eyes the stars add a new kind of allure.
I place my hand on top of yours.
With your attention all I can do is smile, as you do in reply.
There isn't much to say.
Out of sight from the rest of the world, we lie there.
There is no place I would rather be tonight.
