During my last shift at work, I was reflecting on things and remembered that Recovery was my album in 2010 while I played a mad remix of No Love in my head. It was dope, you should have been there.
There's actually a good amount of love in my life right now since I have two more days to watch my baby daughter grow up, but I was feeling pretty salty in the moment, and in the middle of a very blue-collar environment. I hope to eventually remove the collar entirely, but so does everyone, right? Except when COVID is spreading, of course. Then we want to go to work.
I think I trust myself to remove that collar when I'm ready.
While composing this post, I searched for the song No Love on YouTube, but none of the videos I found could be played in the background since I wasn't using a computer. Maybe I should use one (or pay YouTube (lol neveeer)), but I have become accustomed to the mobile interface... Call me an ape, but then I'll just play you this song:
Recovery is actually a pretty good album, especially if you like Eminem. Not Love the Way You Lie, though. I don't like that song.
Cinderella Man and Untitled were also among my favorites, and Airplanes is on that album!
Yeah, man, it was a walk down nostalgia lane. I was making a videogame (in RPG Maker XP) that Summer, and I also learned c++, pretended to learn about energy dispersion in crystalline nitromethane, and successfully extracted DMT from mimosa hostilis root bark. Pretty good times, as far as my life goes. Man, nostalgia is powerful 😂
I plan to quit my miserable factory job and get back to programming in the near future, so hopefully that actually happens. I got the laptop and installed Unity 😁
Here are two trailers from that video game I was making. I never did finish the final boss battle, but it's still pretty long...
