don't be a victim

Even credit card companies are trying to scam you now

Crypto is finally going mainstream, but that just means you need to be ever more careful with your investments.

Binance.US conveniently decided yesterday, when the price of BNB was sub-$250, that I can't deposit any more fiat into their system. US customers are already being massively shorted by Binance given that we can't use the launchpool, AND there are only 43 coins available to buy...

Honestly, maybe I should go back to Coinbase for fiat transfer. At least we get a good deal with USDC coins from there... But then you have to pay ethereum fees.

Ffffffffff-

I suppose you can use a credit card, but half of the places that offer their fee-ridden services don't let US residents use them either.

Fffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff-

I have three credit cards and recently two of them have been giving me trouble logging in to pay my statement balance.

"You can't use your password to log in to your account. Now you have to answer this dumb security question that you don't remember the answer to (and don't even remember choosing as a security question) instead." -- is totally a direct quote from the website.

Then Discover tells me my account cannot be accessed right now. Please call our customer service number.

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF-

I'M JUST TRYING TO PAY MY GODDAMN BILLS ON TIME!

Everything feels like a scam now.

To be fair, my credit card providers have never given me trouble reversing scam charges, like Chase refunding my Amazon Prime subscription charge when I definitely cancel the $2 trial period with plenty of time to spare (yes, this occurs at least once per year). It should never be charged to the card in the first place, but at least they refund it.

Last week, I got really happy with all of these brand-spanking-new reflect token projects after I got into Wynaut on the first day.

I was one of the lucky ones that was around my computer, saw the signs of the Wynaut crash, and got out in time to secure at least $1200 in profit, but I feel really bad for the poor kids that were still in the euphoria stage and lost everything when the naive developers handed the keys over to a rando in the Telegram group...

Sorry for shilling it in my last post, but you may actually still stand to x2ish now if you get in and out at the right time... It's a shame, just like iCream (which was veeeery similar to Goose), that someone had to come in and destroy an honest project that was making a lot of people really happy...

Since we're discussing it, if you were also affected by the iCream hack and haven't checked in recently, they are rebranding their token and plan to return everyone's funds as Gelato. According to the schedule, that should happen tomorrow.

Then again, maybe some of those people demanding refunds in the Telegram group deserved to lose their investment...

I hope no one kills themselves... except for maybe the assholes that spend their time and energy being evil.

I maintain small positions in all of these reflect tokens:

WOOPER

AARDVARK

VLAD

SWOON

yIMPS

You may consider parking a small portion of your gains in one or more of them because they are only about a week old (or less), but you definitely also might lose money. No more than some people already have, though...

Haha, any of these could totally moon, too, just don't bet much on it XD

Either way, if you haven't discovered reflect tokens yet, they're pretty cool. Your balance automatically increases without needing to stake the token because a percentage of every transaction is distributed to the holders. Not a bad deal, but DYOR. I included links to all of the websites.

The BSC Price Bot might become your friend if you do decide to do this. That is where the thumbnail screenshot came from.

I clearly still haven't learned my lesson from all of this, because I also still maintain (small) positions in some questionable yield farms like CafeSwap and ApeSwap (the latter of which appears to not be a winner), and just dipped into Goose and VikingSwap (both of which actually appear promising, and the latter of which is brand new) yesterday.

The key to profiting from these is to either be one of the very first people, or wait until the initial buzz dies down and the dumpers dump (like with what just happened to EGG) to get in.

Oh, yeah, or you can just invest in better projects...

How tf did I become such a degen?
