Okay, I'll get right to it: You need to buy gifts for people this holiday season and you also like to accumulate digital assets.
Here are some of the smartest ways I've found so far to do that...
1) StormX
This one is great! You can get a significant percentage of your spending back in the form of one of the following cryptocurrencies:

If you choose StormX, the native token of the app, then you get additional benefits like a few percentage points added to the earnings multiplier. I have been using StormX for a while so this market dip was a good opportunity to cash out on my Summer Aliexpress purchases. The only downside of StormX is that it takes a while before you have access to your crypto cashback, the value of which is recorded in USD. The upside is that you can use it with a lot of websites that you may be using to buy gifts anyway, like Walmart, eBay, Microsoft, Macy's, Lego, Sam's Club, Nike, and Samsung, to name a few. Even if the BTC doubles in a couple of months, it's still probably more cashback than you'd get with your credit card. The only exception might be if you've got that 5% back going on from Discover right now.

Speaking of which, if you haven't already heard of it...
2) Aliexpress is like a better version of Wish, directly from the brains of the Alibaba conglomerate. If you're not familiar with ordering things internationally (i.e., mostly from China), expect your purchases to take at least a couple of weeks to get to you if you don't shell out the extra for expedited shipping. It's not terribly uncommon to wait for two months or more for your package either. Just don't forget about it -- like with Wish, if the shipping is taking way too long, you can get a full refund. And your item might still arrive in the mail, too! Use my Aliexpress referral link to get some coupons. You can use the Wish one to get $5 in Wish Cash, but the app isn't supported by StormX. If you hurry, you'll still make the Black Friday sales! If you miss it, don't worry, because you can still catch the 12.12 shopping extravaganza. You'll probably have to stick with gifts for yourself now, though, because if you're shopping for others you might not get their gifts by Christmas.
3) Fold
You've probably heard of Fold already, and chances are you're already using it to stack sats, but if you haven't thought of it, the app is perfect for buying people (or yourself) gift cards. You get a fraction of your purchase back in BTC, and the currency is converted at the time of the transaction, which is nice. Gives you the peace of mind, at least, that your efforts will still be worth something by the time you accumulate those 50k sats so you can withdraw. Or at least more worth it than, say, Cointiply surveys that you did months ago 😂
The drawback of Fold is that you have to send a virtual gift card by e-mail as soon as you purchase it. I've gotten around this, though, by making a gift card out of paper, which I have written the ID number and PIN on. As a bonus, your cheapskate-ass might actually come off as being more thoughtful if you put some time into designing the paper card.
And, as if that weren't incentive enough to go with the virtual gift card over the plastic one, ADDITIONALLY, this way you wouldn't have any more petrolium Earthblood on your hands than the stuff that's going to be burned to validate your transaction...
I know there are more of these apps, so go hunting if you want. That's all I got for now, though. Happy holiday shopping!
