Under the cotton sky

Under the cotton sky

As you skirt the sky in search of cotton clouds, the rivers below you, flow with blood, teeming with dreams drowned upstream. The dreams of all who believed and forgot, those who loved and betrayed, those who took without giving, those who followed the wind.

I will remember this year.

I would remember the tears down their cheeks, I would remember their hearts breaking into a thousand pieces as they look back on all those times, looking up to observe the sky. I would remember the lies spread over the land, the frescoes dedicated to idiots. I would remember this year.

All those tortured souls who are wronged for insipid, loathsome fantasies. I would remember the apologies and the judging looks. I would remember those weak people crushed under the towers of these blind people who think they are all powerful.

You are only blind when you refuse to succumb to the obvious.

We only fight against ourselves. We never fight against ideas, nor against peoples, nor against religions. We only live to elevate our spirits, towards nobler principles. By hoping to be able to access a more serene, more just, more equitable world with regard to the concept of life, sharing and solidarity.

What we witness we do not forget.
