You were here,
near, closer than my breath.
You said you never left and all of that was for the best.
But you were not the same, you were someone else,
someone i never knew, just kept thinking of us while you were spreading your lies all over my skin.
Your heart wasn't beating, your eyes never looked straight through mine, then i knew, you were lost.
You were lost in my head, somewhere over the past,
hanging in my dreams, trying to catch up with me.
Well i'm leaving, again.
I'm leaving the memory of you
but i'll always hold the shadow of your hand, i'm still holding on the best of you.
Holding on to a memory
