Hey everyone! For a change something NOT splinterlands related for this post, so, the Hive game @dcrops has been on my radar a couple of times before but mostly due to the lack of spare time, and liquid hive I never made the step in to really starting with it, @forkyw posts about Dcrops every now and then on X, and I remember I commented on a post last year and I received items to get started but then all forgot about it again, sorry for that but I'm back with more time and interest now! 😀

So I couldn't find a lot of recent tutorials about the first steps in Dcrops so I just figured the best I can do is start with it, and find out!
Since I don't want to be a freeloader on Hive projects I started out with buying a started pack for just over 20 Hive at current value, worth $5.

every action I do is on the blockchain it seems so it needs confirmation and verification, all fast and easy using Hive Keychain.

At this point, I'm just diving in without knowing what's the right approach but I'll get there, and it turns out I already owned two average plots of land (I get them from you I suppose forky, thanks again!) so I planted my first seeds and I guess now all I can do is wait, so in three days I will be able to harvest my first crops in this game, ARTICHOKE, so maybe a veteran player can tell me what I can use it for! 😊

O wait.. I was initially planning to buy TWO starter packs but then I found out I already owned two land plots... so let's buy a BETA pack as well, they're just under $3 because of the Halloween event (isn't that in October?).

I like the artwork for this game, it's so happy. 😀

Well, I'm used to open Splinterlands packs but I'm about to lose my Dcrops virginity here!

Well I think I have some beginners luck because I pulled an epic card, that was only 5% chance on happening, I have NO IDEA what I can do with it, but since my wife LOVES Pizza Margaritha, and this name looks like that, I better hide it from her! 😄

The current season is WINTER and it will last for 11 more days, well it's about the same as where I am since it's only THREE degrees outside...

Well... I guess this is it for my first steps, please help a Splinterlands veteran but a Dcrops NOOB out with some advice or other ways if you can 😇 thanks in advance!
