For the past few months, I practically gave up on Axie Infinity. However, I regained interest in the project after its origins release. Instead of playing to earn, I began just playing it for fun.
The largest mistake I made when looking at Axie Infinity for the first time was that it was only a play to earn game rather than for actual entertainment. Axie Origins, however, gave me actual entertainment and fun. Nowadays, instead of grinding for long hours at a time to earn a few bucks, I just casually play a few matches just for the fun of it. Currently, the floor price for 1 Axie NFT is around 2-3$, which is very reasonable, and I only had to pay around 9 USD worth of ETH to build my team of Axies again. For earnings, however, I purchased some AXS tokens and began staking it. Now that AXS is only around 10 USD, I managed to bag quite a bit and stake it for an impressive APY of 43%.
Another main reason I regained interest in Axie Infinity was the team's determination and updates. This can be seen in Axie Homeland, where the Axie Infinity team listened to their landowners and added a utility for land. Due to this, I view Axie Infinity as still viable and alive.
Even though Axie Infinity lost most of its value, I still very much believe that it can at least somewhat make a return in the next bull run. However, with the current unpredictable market conditions, I do not expect this to happen anytime soon.
Thanks for reading my article, and have a nice day!
