Recently I published my overview of the FONE mining app, and mentioned that I'd be following up with a review here in my play-to-earn phone app blog series about my favorite crypto-earning game in the FONE ecosystem: Crypto Treasures.

What You'll Need to Play Crypto Treasures
- To Withdraw: Your FONE tokens are combined directly with the wallet on your FONE app. You'll also need compatible wallets for the various other cryptocurrencies you can earn in-game - most notably a Tron wallet that supports both TRC-10 and TRC-20 coins.
- Smartphone Compatibility: While at one point it seems Crypto Treasures was available on both Apple and Google app stores, it appears it's only currently available for Android.
Payout Information for Crypto Treasures
- Crypto Rewards Options: In addition to earning the project's native FONE token, you also have the possibility of winning additional amounts of Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Tron, BitTorrent, BeatzCoin (BTZC), Wink (WIN), NoleWater (AMSK), and Tron Weekly Journal (TWJ). However, it should be noted that in the weeks that I've been playing, the only earnings I've won have been the last four listed.
- Payout Minimum: The payout minimums vary by crypto option. Your FONE earnings are added directly to your FONE wallet, and the four other coins I've earned have relatively low thresholds (anywhere from 100-500 coins) needed for payout.
- Payout Frequency: You can request a payout once the threshold has been met, and payouts are usually manual approved within 36 hours.
Pros of Playing Crypto Treasures
- The individual games within the app reset once a day, so there's no huge time sink for this app. The app mainly consists of a rock-paper-scissors game, a dice roll game, and a wheel spin game. It only takes a few minutes to get through all three sets each day.
- The ads are less intrusive than other similar play-to-earn (P2E) games and apps. You have an option to double your earnings by watching an ad after each game round, so you can either choose to take your regular earnings without being bothered with ads at all, or choose to watch one to double your in-game gold. As a bonus (for me at least), the ads currently only seem to play every other time I click on them, so half the time I'm getting double rewards without having to watch the ad at all!
Cons of Playing Crypto Treasures
- The app encourages you to use a Tron wallet with questionable reviews. You can use any wallet that supports TRC-10 and TRC-20 coins, but the one mentioned in-game has a lot of negative reviews involving loss of funds and lack of security. As always, do your own research!
- The vast majority of earnings are in FONE. Now, this may or may not be a con if you're a believer in the FONE project as a whole of course, but this does narrow the audience of potential users depending on any one person's particular goals in crypto acquisition.

Summary of Crypto Treasures
Overall, I really like the look and ease-of-use of the game. It's fun to spend a few minutes each day seeing how much in-game gold I can win, as well as checking in once or twice a day on my "digging" results. As for whether or not it's 'worth' it, that'll be up to each individual user. If you're looking to collect FONE, then Crypto Treasures is incredibly more effective at earning FONE than the simple mining app, so a few minutes a day would be well worth your time. As for the potential worth of the other cryptocurrencies you can earn in-app, that'll also be up to you to determine.
