February Situation Report

February Situation Report

Publish0x: I wrote and posted 13 articles this month, almost one very other day, which is a very satisfying thing to say. And what's more, I got 21 more subscribers, so almost 2 new per post. What makes me the happiest is that I wrote a lot on filmmaking this month, and got new subscribers every time, meaning the niche of people interested in videography on Publish0x exists! Unfortunately, the most popular posts are always the ones regarding crypto/finance, as you can see with the number of views in the screenshot below:

These are my two best performing posts this month in videography (Why you shouldn't use a ring light) and in finance (Nexonomics 2.0). It's understandable, considering where P0x comes from and how young it still is, but it would be nice if other topics could get as much visibility as crypto so other communities could grow as well. Overall, I'm very satisfied with my month on P0x, even though my earnings are still far from impressive (it's rare that I get more than $1 per post, the average being around 20/25 cents), I know I need to keep doing what I'm doing, and even more, to keep growing here throughout the year. You guys seem to have enjoyed my creative travel photography as well, as this was my second most read and third most liked article. I enjoy writing about things I love, and I know there are people here interested in topics other than crypto!

I'll probably write about my thoughts on P0x as a blogging platform and how it could be improved (in my opinion) later this month.

Brave: I got about 5.5 BAT this month, phone and desktop combined, and that's probably going to be my usual monthly earnings. I just click on notification ads and sponsored images on both devices, my Youtube channel, my website and my Twitter account are verified but I haven't received any tip in a while (granted, I haven't posted anything worthwhile there in a while). As usual, I will convert all the BAT to DAI as soon as I receive them on Uphold to later transfer everything to NEXO.

Interests: As I mentioned in my post about Nexonomics 2.0, I chose to earn my interest in NEXO tokens in order to reach higher loyalty levels and have access to better advantages on the platform, especially a higher yield. I really like what NEXO is doing, and I moved more BTC and ETH to my savings wallet there this month. I get about $0.35/$0.40 interest daily, and I'll probably move my ETH earnings from here to there as well to keep building this up more and more (the objective being to accumulate as many NEXO tokens as possible before dividend season).

Digital products: Same as January, I'm still working on products, and I still haven't opened an e-shop. I want to have a nice catalogue of finished products ready to upload as soon as I launch, and I want to make sure I put in the time it requires to be perfect and make sure it sells, instead of rushing things and trying to sell half-*ssed products... If I want this to become a serious stream of income, I need to work seriously on it and provide quality items. As of now, I have one product related to videography, one related to personal finance and four related to wedding planning that are almost ready. I would like to have 7-10 items ready before setting up the shop.

Dividends: If you've read my post about the 7 income streams of millionaires, you know that this month I received my first dividend payment from stock. And you also know that it was a whopping $0.01! As I explained there, I created an account on Robinhood (before the whole GME thing) just to get a free stock, and I encourage you to do the same. I'm not planning on giving them any of my money through actually investing, but I'm encouraging people around me to just create an account and refer more people to get more free stocks. If you're lucky, you can get pretty nice shares, and if you're not lucky, you can still get $0.01 dividend... Youtube: Although I'm far from reaching the requirements to monetise my videos on Youtube, I'm happy to see that I still get a handful of new subscribers every month, even though I haven't posted anything since last September (which is far too long now that I see it written). I have some new video ideas that I need to act on, but I would need some time, money, gear and people I don't quite have access to right now... I'm especially thinking about making a new edit of my most popular video, which I uploaded a year ago, and that I know I can make better now that I have more editing experience. I only have 134 subscribers and that video alone has 15,000 views and got me a third of the subs, so it's definitely working well for me, and yet I feel like it could be better. I'm also thinking about making some videos related to filmmaking that would go well with some articles I'm planning on writing here.

As I stated in my last report, this first quarter of 2021 is really about setting up new habits and figuring things out for the months to come, I'm not expecting any big returns anytime soon. I have big plans for the future and these take time to set upThe only thing I know for sure is that I will keep writing more and more and hopefully grow on Publish0x this year.

Again, any advice or feedback is most appreciated, and thank you for your support!

Talk to you soon!
