Now, I'm sure have read at least a few articles about mining for Pi, have heard about it from a friend, family member or came across it on a social media platform. If you haven't gotten any of the "juice" from any of the aforementioned people or places, here is a list of articles that you should find helpful. You can read them before or after this one!

The information that you are about to read will help you make an informed and educated way to maximize your opportunity in mining Pi.
The Pi Network has four roles in which you can mine for Pi:
- Pioneer
- Ambassador
- Contributor
- Node
The Pioneer Role:
Pioneers are the backbone of the Pi Network. You have signed up and started to mine for Pi. Congratulations!!! They have given you one free Pi to get you started (just for signing up!). Now the fun begins. Because the rate for mining Pi just "halved" again, that means we hit another milestone in the Network and have over 100 million users. The Pioneer mining rate is .10 Pi/hr
As a Pioneer, you have to log in every 24 hours to hit the mining button, which then in turn, "mines" for another 24 hours! You don't have to do anything else. The reason for this is to prove that you are not a "BOT" and that rate is your reward for your commitment to the network.
AND, because you HAD to have an invite code to get started, the person who gave you the "Invite Code" is now under YOUR mining team as well. Which brings me to the next role.
The Ambassador Role:
This is the role in which you now invite your contacts. You can literally invite anyone in your contacts list from your phone, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Telegram, Signal, YouTube or TikTok videos... literally anywhere. You can even just hand your invite code to someone you just met. It's all up to you and how creative you are about speaking to people about the Pi Network!
When you set you set up your account, you had to put in a "User Name", that user name is now YOUR invite code. Don't get discouraged if people look at you like they are lost on your words, or they don't have a clue as what cryptocurrency is. (It happens more often than you realize)
On the average, its a good reference to keep in mind, that only 1-5% of the people you actually speak with will download the app and start to mine.
Now, for each person you bring under your Mining Team, you will receive a percentage (roughly .05 Pi/hr). The equation is as follows:
Pioneer/s (earning team) x 25% x (.10 Pi/hr) = Earning Team Total Pi/hr.
The person that brought in that gave you the Invite Code, is in your earning team.
This number then gets added to your Pioneer Role. For each person you bring in, you can expect the rate to increase by .05 Pi/hr, once there is two people in your earning team. This number will fluctuate should someone become "inactive" on mining. You are only able to "Ping" the inactive users (as a whole) roughly every 16 hours. I am actually trying to get the Core Team to change this to be able to PING inactive users one at a time. But until then, if someone isn't mining, you'll have to text them or get a hold of them any way you can, until the next active PING is available.
BUT THAT'S NOT WHERE THE FUN ENDS...
The Contributor Role:
After you have completed three (3) mining sessions, you are able to add a "Security Circle". This starts the Contributor Role. To add to this circle, it is important to add five people that you know will ALWAYS mine. Let me explain. For each of the individuals you place in this category, your mining rate increases in two, yes I said TWO places. It will add .02 Pi/hr per person under the this role, AND it will add the same amount under the formula which makes up the Ambassador Role. So if you have 5 people added to your Security Circle, that's .10 Pi/hr under Contributor. ALSO remember the formula mentioned above... well now you add .10 Pi/hr in that section too!
The formula in which the mining rate reflects in the Ambassador Role is calculated as:
Pioneer/s (earning team) x 25% x (.10 Pi/hr + .10 Pi/hr) = Earning Team Total Pi/hr.
NOW LETS SAY you have 19 people mining out of 22 people that is in your mining team.
- Pioneer gives you the standard .10 Pi/hr
- Ambassador makes it: 19 x 25% x (.10 Pi/hr + .10 Pi/hr)= .93 Pi/hr
- Contributor makes it (5 x .02 Pi/hr) = .10 Pi/hr
For a total of: 1.13 Pi/hr
I know by looking at the screen shots that the Pioneer is listed first, then Contributor, and then the Ambassador... I actually like to list the ROLES in the order in which you can start building your OWN network or mining team.
You are able to add "Existing Pi Users" (blue box) for any of the contacts that are in your phone already. You might not even know that they are mining for Pi until then! You are able to "Invite" your contacts (red box), and send THEM a free Pi to get them started! I always have more than the 5 that make my mining rate higher... JUST IN CASE one of my Security Circle isn't mining. I have back ups so I can keep the .10 in both Contributor and Ambassador roles!! (Helpful HINT)
Now the final role which I have to touch base on is the Node Role: At the time of this article, the Node functions are still in Phase 2 TestNet. This is the function of computers (Desk Tops or Lap Tops), not phones or handhelds, in which the Decentralized Program will run. Nodes will help secure the Pi Blockchain, based on the security circles we all have under the Contributor Role.
You can however download the software to your computer. This will link the two devices and you will be able to see the progress on your computer as well. You can request to become a Node once it becomes operational. Go to node.minepi.com to read more on Nodes.

This should get you further involved in mining for Pi.
Following those simple steps, and it WILL increase your mining rate.
As quick reference as to your mining rate:
You are a Pioneer, with a 5 person security circle, and only 1 person under Ambassador- you will be earning .25 Pi/hr.
{.10 for Pioneer + .10 for Contributor + [1 x 25% x (.10Pi/hr + .10 Pi/hr] = .05/hr for Ambassador} totals = .25 Pi/hr.
.25 Pi/hr x 24 hrs a day = 6 Pi per day. multiply that by 365 and you'll have 2,190 Pi in a year!!
SO IF YOU HAVE a mining rate of 1.13 Pi/hr x 24 hrs = 27.12 Pi per day! now multiply that by 365 and you'll have 9,898.8 Pi in a year. How much could that be worth again????
AS ALWAYS... Should you have any questions about the Pi Network or anything you need help with, please feel free in leaving a comment. If you'd also like to leave your "Invite Code" for Pi ONLY you can do that. Please also include how long you've been mining, and what country you're from. Pi Network is in over 120 countries!!! ONLY Pi Network, all other info about alternate apps will unfortunately be deleted. You can add the Invite Codes to Bee, Spotter, or any other app on the "Hedging Your Bet" article. Thank you!
Happy Mining!
