So according to their website, the white paper published in March 2019 allows using to download their app and by logging into the app every 24 hours you can continue mining their crypto currency pi. 

There are a number of articles circulating online stating that this app is a scam. At the moment you do not need to invest any money. The app is free to download and you need to input your name and phone number. There only thing you may lose at this time is your time. For the last 15 months I have been logging in daily to continue to mine pi. 

Recently an update from the app announced that the team behind the app are pushing for the crypto to go live on the mainnet. At present it is unsure how long the free mining will last for but at the moment I will continue to mine pi and keep a close eye on what happens. It was recently mentioned on CoinMarketCap but the value of the coin and supply is currently unknown.
