As you probably know, the BEE Network application was released in early December 2020. This application, which allows to mine the BEE token, has so far been a great success in terms of users.

Indeed, yesterday, December 29th, the announcement was made that 500K users were already mining BEE. At this rate, the next halving will happen very soon, probably in January or February of next year. When there will be 1 million users, the halving will take place and the mining rate will decrease from 0.8 to 0.4 BEE / hour.

The application also highlights some interesting statistics such as the countries with the most users in the world. Unsurprisingly, the USA dominates this ranking, followed by China, India, Turkey and Vietnam. The application has also been translated for more than 129 countries around the world and the founders have updated their website.

However, some uncertainty continues to be present in this project. Indeed, the core team has still not been announced or officially presented and the project seems very similar to the one of Pi Network, "close cousin" of the Bee project.

One of the main new action that will probably be possible during the next halving, is to be able to create its security circle to secure the network. This action is not possible for the moment and will allow or pioneer to increase their mining rate if they contribute to the security of the Bee network.
