Trimming Some Fat - Bye $GAIN and $MO

So I Needed Some Cash...

its been a while since I've sold off some of my holdings for cash. And it's been a REALLY long time since I've sold off entire positions. But today, I did just that with $GAIN and $MO.

I didn't feel like these two stocks were doing what I wanted them to. And honestly, I wasn't excited to hear about news involving them in regards to business. I guess you could say I was bored and just wanted to get rid of my least favorite performers right now.

$GAIN has always treated me right but I was using it as a cash flow vehicle and not an investment. I need something that will consistently grow instead of spitting out a dividend each month.

$MO was always going to be my first holding to go. I felt bad owning sin stock even though it has such a nice dividend. They made me a little bit if profit since my initial buy in, so I can't be too upset about that.

I plan to use this cash to help consolidate some of my bills that I will be having from my recent surgery. I'd much rather have cash to handle the present day issues as opposed to being strapped for cash now with the hopes of making it to retirement someday to use my invested money.
