Stuff Is Burning Today

It's either the all the weed or the May oil contracts. If you don't know what I mean by either of these statements, then I apologize and I'll try to break it down. Today is 4/20 so it's the official unofficial day to smoke an excess amount of marijuana. (Like most of y'all really need a dedicated day for it!) As for the oil comment, if you are into watching the commodities market you would see that oil contracts for May went negative for the first time ever today. Basically, this means that it's almost a financial burden at this point to store oil physically. It's a crazy concept and I do not completely understand it. All I know is that I am glad that I was not heavily invested into anything related to that stuff. Might be a good time to look into getting into it though?

In other news, today I followed up with Fidelity about all the freezes and locks on my account and they said if I do not have my account back by Wednesday that I should call again to get everything closed out. They have been really great during this entire process and have been friendly and helped me through the stages of fear I've had. Once I get my account back I'll have to see where my cash is sitting and where I need to reconnect my Fidelity account. I know I have been missing out on a lot of rewards!

Within the Fidelity account, I have also been thinking about what advantage I would have if I took a withdraw from my 401k without the early penalty. I would still have to pay income tax, but it would be cheaper now than later in life. With this taxed money from the 401k, I would want to to put it into my Roth IRA, to max out 2019 as well as 2020. If not that, then keep the money in a taxable account and have it working hard for me and be more liquid and flexible.

It's a lot of stuff to think about and consider. I have been making a lot of financial moves late. Getting a raise, refinancing my mortgage, switching everything to Fidelity, getting a stimulus check.. ect. A lot has been happening to help us increase our monthly spending money. With this, I am hoping to continue to grow income streams as well as staying far ahead on day-to-day maintenance on stuff around the house.

Keep on the lookout for cool and interest stuff coming this week once I get back into Fidelity. In the mean time, I appreciate you guys still sticking around and listening to my daily rambling!
