Samsung Global Goals

New Phone, Who Dis

If you read my recent post you'll know that my phone broke and I've been scraping by on replacements and wifi devices. However, I was able to get an actually replacement from our insurance provider for our cell phones so I am back in commission as far as smart devices are concerned.

It took a while to get everything set up and running again. Probably a good 5 hours of downloading, installing, and initializing. But after a long day of data consuming, my phone was finally up and running. I am guessing that this model of the Samsung S10+ is a bit newer because it has a few more bells and whistles than my previous phone had. When I say this, I am mostly referring to apps. One such app that I found is titled Samsung Global Goals

I wasn't entirely sure what the app was designed for and I was about to try and remove it from my phone, but at the last minute I decided not to after reading some Google Play Store reviews. It turns out this app is actually a great way to help us donate to charities and other such causes.

The gist of the app is that it asks to be part of your lock screen where it will then display colorful and powerful ads. But consuming these ads you generate some money which can be donated to help support 1 of 17 different causes. You're able to choose which cause you'd like to donate to and you are able to switch back in forth in case you'd like to support many different causes.

What I have also seen is that Samsung is also doing a donation match for the donation that you make. As of writing this, I have 33¢ earned that I could donate. If I ask to donate I am told that Samsung will also add in 33¢ to donate. This makes it a total of 66¢ donated.

I am not sure if the Samsung bonus is capped out at a certain amount, but I am going to keep building up my earnings so I can perform a generous donation to a cause that I believe in.

There is also a lot of useful information within this app that can give you great resources if you want to help beyond just donating your ad earnings.

Overall, I like this app. I am able to watch ads while I am working on something else and it hasn't seemed to slow my phone down at all. Having a clean interface to be able to contribute to charities is really nice. It motivates me to want to donate more.

Below I will share some screenshots from the app that way you can see how it works and how clean it looks.

What do you guys think? Does anyone utilize this platform? Do you plan to?
