Big news if true! Paypal is looking at crypto for very long time and realised that nobody can kill it so thinking now to rather join the revolution.

Over the past few months, PayPal has also been hiring blockchain engineers to develop its cryptocurrency capabilities. Also in a letter to the European Commission, Paypal shed more light into their cryptocurrency ambitions:

Of particular interest for us is how these technologies and crypto-assets can be utilized to achieve greater financial inclusion and help reduce/eliminate some of the pain points that exist today in financial services. We also have great interest in how these technologies can be used to promote transparency and enhance compliance efforts.
