Have been recently asked how to get Bitcoin without going through all the check, many exchanges do. Yeah, talking about the lovely KYC aka Know Your Customer. It is something the regulators are pushing for and some exchanges go overboard just to keep the gov happy. Before you hit the internet and start clicking on the links, check the Coin ATM Radar and Bitcoin ATM Map. You might be able to find a BTM aka Bitcoin ATM near you. You usually have to be prepared to pay extra for the privacy, the fees can easily go up to 20% but I've used some BTM's with less than 5%. If no luck of finding one near you, check these exchanges:

• Bisq - This is a fully decentralized and non-custodial. Uses Tor, automatically. There's a guide how to use it. you have to have some Bitcoin already to use Bisq.

• HodlHodl -- Non-custodial. Not available in the U.S.

For these who are like: "Why would you pay premium for the privacy", here's a thought. When you do KYC at an exchange, somebody knows who you are, where you live and that you have Bitcoin as well as how much Bitcoin you have. You'll probably be fine but you don't know how long this information will be sitting somewhere until some bad people will find it. Exchange can get hacked, data leaked... Let me repeat, they will know you have some Bitcoin and where you live.
