Alex Gladstein explaining why is Bitcoin vital tool in preventing human rights abuses

Just watched a great video on Youtube where Alex Gladstein is explaining why is Bitcoin vital tool in preventing human rights abuses.

Why are people in Gaza turning to Bitcoin?

Part of the reason for the increased Bitcoin usage is due to the Palestinian’s consistent disenfranchisement from society. Paypal and other online payment services exclude Gaza and other Palestinian held territories, meaning many have small options if they wish to partake in international transfers and pay freelance work.

Banks are also difficult for international transfers. The threat of US and Israeli authorities blocking or curtailing them is an ever-present danger, something they did to Gaza following Hamas’ election in 2006.

Fortunately, Bitcoin has proved a fantastic way to combat these injustices.

Bitcoin is giving power back to the people and I'm happy to be alive to see the revolution, happening right now.

I'm a massive believer in Bitcoin, especially in poor countries where the governments keep printing money and indirectly create a second tax on all of their residents. In ten years time, I'm sure we'll see so much use in third world countries across the globe, not just in Latin America. Will keep you posted, if you have any question, ask in the comments, please.

Thank you guys for reading, liking, following, and tipping. Extremely appreciated! 👍

Saw crypto as a way to make some cash, a get rich quick scheme. Learned about the tech and will stay in forever. Watching the GOV spending in 2020 made me realise how fiat is controlled way too much and becoming worthless be a minute. Bitcoin for the WIN!
