With the symbol Ne and atomic number 10 we discover the chemical characteristics of Neon. It is an almost inert and colorless noble gas. Neon has a distinctive reddish glow when used in a discharge tube or in lamps. It is present in traces in the air.
Neon is the second lightest among the noble gases and has a refrigeration capacity 40 times higher than that of liquid helium and 3 times higher than liquid hydrogen (a parity of volume units). In many applications it is a less expensive refrigerant than helium. Neon has the most intense discharge of all rare gases.
- neon lamps
- spark arrestor
- television cathode ray tubes.
Neon and helium are used in gas lasers. Liquefied neon is used as a cryogenic coolant.
After the limited distribution of the Fluorine element, with the first lottery, we return to the classic giveaway mode. The first 40 who will comment on this article with their wax address will receive Neon NFT as a gift.
In previous articles I had anticipated a second phase of The Periodic Table initiative.
NFT after NFT we are dusting off the chemical elements of the periodic table. The time has come to refresh also what happens when two or more atoms join together: the molecule is born.
In this second phase, simple molecules will be selected. Those who participate in the contest must have in their portfolio the elements that make up the molecule identified at the deadline of the contest.
The first molecule to be composed will be published on Tuesday. You will have 7 days to add the elements to the wallet. The NFTs will be distributed only on that occasion and will have a limited supply compared to the number of winners.
The Periodic Table NFT project
The Periodic Table NFT project aims to raise awareness of chemical elements in a modern key, basing the approach on blockchain and Non Fungible Token.
Day after day it will be possible to know the single elements that make up the table, to collect curiosities about each of them and about the table in general.
We are working to be able to learn, in a playful way, also what happens by combining the various elements.
The whole project is based on the collection of NFTs that can be bought on the site https://wax.atomichub.io/market?collection_name=periodicelem&order=desc&sort=created&symbol=WAX or by participating in simple giveaways published on publish0x.
