Arsenic is historically a very harmful element for health - The Periodic Elements NFT (GIVEAWAY)

Arsenic is the chemical element with atomic number 33 and its symbol is As.

It is a semimetal that comes in three different allotropic forms: yellow, black and gray. In the past, its compounds have found use as herbicides and insecticides. It is also used in some alloys.

From a chemical point of view, arsenic is very similar to phosphorus, its homologue, to the point that it partially replaces it in some biochemical reactions, hence its toxic effect. By heating arsenic sublimes to 615 ºC, ie it becomes gaseous without passing through the liquid phase.

Lead arsenate was used until much of the twentieth century as an insecticide on fruit trees, with serious damage to the eyes, the circulatory system, lungs, especially for workers who spread it on crops without appropriate protection.

Arsenic is a powerful, colorless and odorless poison which, taken in small doses, causes cramps in the arms and legs and ultimately death. 0.8 percent is considered tolerable by a normal organism. Furthermore, this poison blocks the process of tissue deterioration and therefore the body remains intact, as if mummified. It has been shown that the human body can build a tolerance to arsenic by taking small amounts for prolonged periods; it is said that Mithridates VI of Pontus and, more recently, Rasputin used it regularly to protect themselves from possible poisoning.

Gallium arsenide is an important semiconductor used in integrated circuits and photovoltaic panels. Circuits made from gallium arsenide are much faster, but much more expensive, than those made from silicon. Unlike silicon, they can be used in laser diodes and LEDs to directly convert electricity into light.

Arsenic trioxide has been used for the treatment of acute promyelocytic leukemia in patients resistant to trans-retinoic acid therapy.

Arsenic trioxide is used in Australia as an agent for the disinfestation of homes from termites.

It is also used in the making of fireworks.

The Giveaway

Also for this giveaway we have thought of something different. In the last giveaway, everyone was responsible for their own exclusion from receiving an NFT. In this giveaway everyone is responsible for excluding someone from this giveaway.

We do not know if it is tolerated by Publish0x, but we try and hope not to resort to any sanctions.

The element Arsenic has a max supply of  200 pieces. The assignment of the NFTs of this giveaway is totally based on the extraction of only 15 NFTs among all those who will comment on this article with their WAX address by February 10th at 16:00 CEST.

A number of NFTs equal to the likes (thumbs up) received by this article by the expiry date will also be up for grabs for a maximum of 150 additional NFTs. This means that if the article has for example 35 thumbs up when it expires, 20 + 35 users will be drawn to receive an NFT

It is up to you whether you want a quiet giveaway with NFT for everyone or an exciting giveaway with the possibility of someone being excluded, perhaps you or your best friend.

ANTICIPATION: the next Selenium item will have a max supply of 99 pieces. The giveaway will be launched by 10 February at 16:00 and will last only 24 hours.

Finally, we remind you that the auctions continue to recover any lost elements.

The Periodic Table NFT project

The Periodic Table NFT project aims to raise awareness of chemical elements in a modern key, basing the approach on blockchain and Non Fungible Token.
Day after day it will be possible to know the single elements that make up the table, to collect curiosities about each of them and about the table in general.
We are working to be able to learn, in a playful way, also what happens by combining the various elements.
The whole project is based on the collection of NFTs that can be bought on the site or by participating in simple giveaways published on publish0x.

The periodic table, also known as the periodic table of elements, is a tabular display of the chemical elements, which are arranged by atomic number, electron configuration, and recurring chemical properties. Each of us has a good memory of the school period. The periodic table of the elements was certainly a part of our journey. The time has come to retrace each element and collect the most exciting ones.
