What is Your Mission in Life?

What is Your Mission in Life?

Shocked was an understatement when my husband asked how come a boy at a very young age of 8 was on the street begging for food late at night.
We went for our holiday last year in my country,  we stayed at a very comfortable hotel just right in front of Abreeza Mall as it was accessible to the main city thus easier to walk around without the hassles of traffic jam. As we're on our way back to the hotel from where we dine at an Italian restaurant inside the mall, my heart bled when I saw that poor boy begging for food. It was risky as cars might hit him but from the looked of it, he was more concerned about the food rather than the risk.

I am a mother, and my parents were also coming from a humble beginning but never in my entire life that they allowed us to beg.

So hubby and I asked him what he was doing on the street, he said he just wanted food. Right there and then I gave him that extra Chao Fan, Cola  and Cone Twirl to suffice his hunger,  he smiled, thanked us for the food and left.

I was a bit teary-eyed seeing that poor kid hence upon writing, I could remember how he had touched my heart to strive more financially (meaning to keep myself be financially educated) so that in my little way, I would be able to extend my help especially to the kids in my country.

Thus, with strong conviction, I feel it is my mission and together with W. Clement Stone, when he said, "When you discover your mission, you will feel its DEMAND. It will Fill you with ENTHUSIASM and burning DESIRE to get to work on it!"

Likewise, in unification with my Focolare Family (an Italian based movement founded by Chiara Lubich which calls for UNITY in Diversity among our brothers and sisters from different walks of life) organized an annual outreach program especially to the least fortunate kids in Davao region and seeing the happy faces of those kids when they were given a simple gift yet they were overflowing with joy to have received it, made me the happiest and the more I felt the need to push myself further to give more as Sir Winston Churchill once said,

"We make a living by what we get;  We make a life by what we give."

At the end of the day, our life on earth is indeed fleeting, why being so concerned about hiding things? Especially now that we have this long pandemic ongoing and other people need most of our help, then, by all means, GIVE, just GIVE because generosity entails WEALTH actually. The more we give, the more our MINDSET is in tuned to Abundance.   a1b392b73b5e7ad242da52e1db74fce83e10a845d52ff48d8612b0fa85e11d50.png  9d1e656e032ab65cb7e47daf4c32e566698b5409a31355830e6f21aa671e8745.png I am a living testimony despite my small amount of money back when I was working as a part-time crew at Jollibee in my city, I had only 100 pesos at that time, my allowance for the whole week and I usually stopped by at the church to unwind, commune with God and there was that old lady who was asking for food and even an amount of money for fare so what I did, I called a tricycle and told the driver to drop the old lady to her place and paid for her fare instead. It's a small act of kindness and regardless of her story on why she was at the church that day, it was crystal clear that God spoke to me to do something and remembering always how Princess Diana's heart for the poor that when we do an act of kindness, we shouldn't wait for a reward, instead acknowledging that someday, someone will reciprocate such act towards us.

Hi, my name is PAT which means in Italian as "Perche Amo Te Gesu Abbandonato" translated into English, "Because I love Jesus Forsaken", it is my greatest desire to extend help in my little way to the least fortunate kids  in my country and this is my MISSION in Life!

Back when my ex-boyfriend (now my hubby) and I were still dating in Doha, since I don’t know my way to that hotel where we supposed to meet for the first time (actually it was recommended by a friend) so I asked her to accompany me instead. She has been living in the Middle East for two years so she knew her way around the area. True enough, (my hubby) at that time arrived too early and like I mentioned from my previous post, I was not really so into him so I was thinking of matchmaking the two.
