If you've been following my posts you'll know I enjoy sharing methods of earning income passively. As much money as possible with as little work required, that's the goal! Well sometimes I stumble across an opportunity for a quick-buck, it's not quite passive. In fact it might take a little bit of effort. But I realized my platform doesn't allow me to share these with you guys! So I decided on a sub-series where I will highlight these Quick-Buck Opportunities! One of these will typically take only a few minutes, and earn you a solid few dollars at least for your time. And after you can go on your way, take your quick-buck, and put it to work for you to start earning more passive income in my other systems!
Today we're going to discuss Zelf. Zelf is a planned banking and payment solution that will live inside your messaging applications. They support Facebook Messenger, Whatsapp, Telegram, and will be supporting Discord soon. So where is your quick buck? Well they are currently taking names and phone numbers to add to their waitlist for the virtual cards being delivered in 2 months time. All you need to do, is give them these 2 pieces of information and you will have your quick €5! It took me about 1 minute to complete the process. These virtual cards will be functional with Apple Pay, and Google Pay so actually seem to me like they'll be pretty useful.
So now comes the big question. You're giving up a slice of personal info for your quick-buck. Who are you giving it to? Is it safe? Well I looked into Zelf a bit for you...
Zelf was started as an American Company, but with intention to do business with french banks they quickly discovered they needed to have a company in Europe. They were invited to incorporate by the Latvian Government (LIAA), and have plans to open their headquarters in Luxembourg.
Now this gave me a pause as it sounds a little...all over the place. A lack of direction like that seems concerning. But then I stumbled across the bank and payment solutions company that Zelf uses to really process transactions and store all funds, Treezor. Treezor is accredited by the French Prudential Supervision and Resolution Authority (ACPR), and is a principal member of the Mastercard network. They are a well known online-only bank in Europe.
All in all I'm not too concerned. Firstly, you're merely giving them a name and a phone number at this time. And they're giving you a promise of 5 quick-bucks. If there is something nefarious going on, there's not a lot can be done with a name and phone number! Now the only negative is your 5 quick-bucks can't be accessed for another 2 months when the virtual cards begin to be delivered. But no worries, as this gives you plenty of time to make a lot more than 5...
As these companies generally do, Zelf wants to grow as big and as quick as possible. So they are running a referral system to get their user base off the ground. For each Zelf user you refer to complete the 1 minute sign up process you will earn another €5, and if THAT user refers someone else. You will earn €1 for that second tier of referrals. With some clever maneuvering you can parlay your 1 minute signup bonus into a lot more!
I always say when discussing passive income, these referral systems are your bread and butter. You can make a little bit of money yourself, but making money from helping others make money is the real way to true passive...ness....ity! I encourage you to go take your 5 quick-bucks and turn them into as many as you can. Buy some crypto, make an investment!
In the end though I don't care about Zelf, I'm here for a quick-buck! And in 2 months when the virtual cards are delivered I, and many others will walk away with at least a cool €5, and hopefully a lot more! And all it took was a minute.
