Privacy and security in one token
John McAfee, defender of blockchain and cryptography, has launched a new privacy piece called GHOST. This is an important step for the antivirus guru, as the year has gone through many unexpected events.
The global economy has been hit hard by the effects of the coronavirus pandemic. And that did not spare the blockchain and crypto space either. Despite this, the crypto space has shown its strength and has even experienced a rise in the price of Bitcoin after its famous drop of 50%. According to reports, the price of Bitcoin has exceeded that of the S & P500 index by a fairly large margin. With this in mind, McAfee, a strong supporter of decentralization and privacy tokens, has announced the launch of a privacy token called GHOST.
Crypto enthusiasts looking to own GHOST must meet one condition, however. They must first have Switch tokens (ESH). GHOST tokens, unlike other cryptocurrencies, were not the subject of an Initial Coin Offer (ICO). This is because ICOs have performed poorly in recent times. Several other platforms are inventing new ways to distribute tokens. For example, dynamic parts offers made by DAO Maker .
McAfee is testing a new distribution technique for its GHOST tokens, which requires users to have ESH ERC-20 tokens.
About Switch and GHOST distribution
Last year, McAfee launched its own decentralized platform called McAfee DEX, a fully private decentralized exchange that requires no form of identification. The platform was built on technology designed by the Switch ecosystem. The ecosystem includes an exchange platform, a decentralized exchange and a game platform still in development. The entire ecosystem is powered by the native Switch token, ESH.
According to a blog post, 25% of the total supply of GHOST tokens will go to ESH holders. Users will receive 1 GHOST for each ESH token in their wallet. This announcement resulted in increased demand for ESH tokens and, subsequently, an increase in the price of the token. McAfee has been a staunch supporter of the Switch platform, largely because of its privacy-centric nature and its demand for equitable wealth-sharing features.
It is relevant to note that Switch users benefit from a truly decentralized platform without the restrictions of a central governing body and without restriction of the KYC protocols.
More on GHOST
According to the blog, GHOST, as the name suggests, is designed to leave no trace of a transaction made. With it, users can do all forms of web transactions without fingerprints. According to McAfee, any breach is a breach of privacy which will inadvertently result in a breach of personal data.
Consistent with its belief, McAfee also does not support cryptocurrencies which are in the form of a centralized control body. In his own words, "they are the weak point" of the entire digital asset space. McAfee is there to guarantee users complete web privacy. Hence the launch of GHOST. The token will ensure that web transactions are truly private and transparent.
By the way , GHOST airdrops took place on May 25, while its MainNet is preparing for launch on June 22.
In its 2020 roadmap, McAfee released details to launch a mobile wallet app, a premium portal, DEX cross-chain. In addition, a P2P market, a masternode, encrypted chats, merchant solutions and account alias addresses are planned. Learn more about using the McAfee DEX platform.
