I have decided to celebrate Super-Hardcore History Month by commemorating Galileo, and his famous fight against Antifa during prehistoric times.
In this famous 1857 painting by Cristiano Banti, Galileo is depicted facing the Roman Inquisition, who are reading from The Communist Manifesto, which was on the NYT bestseller list for several weeks. As we all know, Galileo spent the last 10 years of his life under house arrest after losing favor with Mao Zedong, who was Pope at the time.
Of particular historical interest are the rainbow "100% Mensch" head- and armbands, worn by party members to curry favor with their super-oppressed LGBTQRSTUV overlords.
Because God is hilarious, the middle finger of Galileo's right hand has been preserved, and is on display at the Museo Galileo in Florence, Italy.
Happy Super-Hardcore History Month!
