What is love? Is it a riot in the streets? Or a peaceful stroll through an idyllic setting?
Perhaps it is a riot in an idyllic setting, or a peaceful stroll through streets of fire.
I say it's all of the above.
Angry Dogs On Fire
I love you
baby,
I love you
I love you
baby,
I love you
No matter what you say
to shoot me down
no matter what you say
to shoot me down
It may be I'm a killer
it may be I'm a clown
all I know is I got a smile on my face
and I can't make a sound
and my heartbeat
is finally
still
You're my inspiration
you're my beautiful muse
you got me dancing on the ceiling
with blood in my shoes
Waltzing past the tombstones
where I take my rest
darling,
you are beautiful
baby, you're the best
You're the one that I love
you're the one I desire
the streets are full
of angry dogs on fire
but they can't touch us,
and they never will

Vampire Cats is by far the least-realized album in my discography. It's even more of a demo than Angels on Fire, which is half-comprised of actual demos. But I love the songs on Vampire Cats, and am thinking of making videos of some of the highlights. "One Last Kiss" does appear on the Sideburns in the Sun collection, and I did make a spoken-word video out of "Wonderland Covered In Tar," but due to a complete lack of production value in all of the recordings, Vampire Cats has been largely overlooked. Perhaps the time has come to do something about it.
Thanks for listening.
