If you've been paying attention to anything crypto-related over the past few months, you'll know that NFTs have exploded in popularity with gains to be made far and wide. Most NFT traffic has been on the Ethereum network, but gas fees have made it difficult for smaller players to enter the market - with the recent pump of Shiba and other factors, gas fees have risen to crazy levels once again.
In looking for an alternative, I came across NFTs hosted on Solana. The fees are significantly lower on this network, but the traffic for NFTs is very high. Therefore, it's a good space to keep an eye on for anyone looking into getting into the NFT space without having to pay exorbitant gas fees which eat into your profit.
Much like any crypto investment, choosing a good NFT project requires research - with the best projects having solid fundamentals, a good team and dedicated users who are willing to invest and spread the word. Below, I will list a handful of NFT projects that I'm keeping an eye on which will hopefully achieve a good floor price and bring in plenty of profits.
1) VoxPunksClub

VoxPunksClub is a solid project with plenty of upside in my opinion. They were initially minted for a price of 0.3 SOL on 30th September and sold out in 8 minutes. It has a great community and a team that is dedicated to keeping on improving the project and spread the word. It has a current market cap of $1,571,514 and a floor price of 1.6 SOL at the time of writing. In my opinion, it would be a very good time to pick a few up at this price - the project did briefly hit a floor price of 3.5-4 SOL and is experiencing a small dip currently. I believe that the project will rise to a higher floor since the team is working on bringing out a breeding system alongside the ability to see your NFT in 3D. There have also been a few whales lurking about the project, with a few high profile purchases - with the highest known purchase so far being 60 SOL. Therefore, this project is sitting at a nice buy-in price with a very healthy potential to explode in the next few weeks.
One of the most bullish signs for me is that the project isn't even listed on Solanart yet - the largest SOL marketplace. The team have said that they are working on the application, a listing there would result in a lot of new traffic. It could be a wise move to pick one up before a potential Solanart listing.

2) Goblin Laboratory

This project isn't out yet and will be available to mint on the 27th of October. It's made by the same artist who created the Galactic Gecko NFTs, which is one of the most famous and recognizable SOL projects out there - it has a floor price of 39 SOL and an average purchase price of 59 SOL over the last 24 hrs. So, as you can imagine, this new project has a lot of hype before even debuting. The discord alone already has 18 thousand members, which is incredible for a project that's not available yet. Alongside having a proven artist and a fervent fan base, the artwork for this project is incredible - which is not always the case with NFTs. Not only is the artwork incredible, but there is a whole lore behind the project and behind the design that clouds the project in an almost mystical light. The effort put into the lore and these stories just increase my confidence in the project - it demonstrates the effort and dedication the team are putting into the project.
It's also very unique in the fact that this project is the first 'build your own NFT platform'. It aims to be an ambitious trendsetter in the space, and I'm confident that they will succeed and really explode onto the scene. Here is their own description of the concept:

3) Corrupt Catz

This is another project that hasn't been minted yet - when the minting opens, it will be for 2 SOL. There are 10,000 to be minted overall and will open on the 8th of October - so you may need to be quick if you're reading the article on the day it comes out. Once minted, it will be available on all the best SOL marketplaces - Solanart, MagicEden and DigitalEyes. So, it will have plenty of visibility and traffic when it releases. They also mention:
"We aim to redistribute 50% of royalties to running costs, giveaways/partnerships, 20% to cat charities and 30% to our NFT holders. (*This is subject to change with team discretion & community votes.)"
If you're a holder, you should receive some royalties for simply having it in your wallet which is a nice feature. Breeding will also be a feature with these NFTs - if you hold at least 2 Catz, you'll be able to breed them and create a Corrupt Kitten which should bring some extra value. Even if you only mint one, it may be valuable for another user depending on the traits.

Before advancing and deciding whether you want to buy into any of these projects - DYOR!. I would especially advise this on projects that haven't been minted yet. There have been a few exit scams around some SOL NFTs recently, so be vigilant and look around before deciding.
I would also advise having a burner wallet when minting which doesn't contain all of your funds!
I have researched the projects above and deemed them safe, but you can never be too careful in the NFT space.
