The movie that proved that the fans have the real power over the movie companies. This movie was a huge success in terms of shifting the power from one on to the other, from the CEOs to the fans. After many years of asking and petitioning it both from fans and the cast and director, Zack was able to get to finish his idea, his version. And let's be honest. Every version would have been better then the one that we saw in in 2017. The movie received pretty good reviews and to be fair the movie is awesome, but as every movie there are some not that great scenes or some plot holes. So here is my review and what I thing was good or bad about the movie.
Superman in the black suit = AWESOME. That is all I have to say. Oh, and I loved to cocky attitude when he met Steppenwolf.
I was not a huge fan of the casting of Ben Affleck as Batman, but I have to admit he did a good job. Although he looked a little too buffed, hi did good. But still my favorite is and always will be Bale's Batman. But that is not the topic here. I liked how this Batman was a little optimistic and was the leader of the group as he should be. And as a leader he was ready to sacrifice himself in order to save the planet. And was the first to admit that they need Superman in order to win. And took a beating from him.
In my opinion although Cyborg was much better character then in the previous version, the CGI was as awful as it was. There was a lot of fuss about him (and rightfully so), and yet they failed to improve the SGI. But he had some important scenes and overall massive improvement as the character deserves.
I don't know what to say about the Flash. Never liked Ezra and never will. And the running, the stance? What in the f*ck is that. Who the f*ck runs like that. He should have taken a look at Grant's Flash and see how he should act (and he had the chance given that he was in Crisis of Infinite Earths, which was an awesome crossover and having Ezra show up was amazing). The only thing that I liked was when he started running in the pet shop his shoes were destroyed, because he was wearing ordinary shoes. Nice detail. And I guess he is new to his powers and is still learning them, but if he knows about the speed force and running back in time, then I don't think that he is that knew, so that he can trip while running. As I said never liked him, I think he is a bad casting choice and the character was badly written.
Wonder Woman was good, a lot more that in her new movies. She was awful in that. But I liked her here. Strong, powerful, fearless. She is Amazonian princes. She is badass. I really hope her next movie continues with this style and tone. Don't destroy her.
Aquaman was also good character and a good choice in Momoa. However he is hard to follow because of his stand alone movie. Some parts where a little confusing. Is his movie before or after JL? He knew some thing that he did not knew in the movie and wore the costume from when he was fighting his brother, which he received then, but his brother is still the king. So I guess JL is before his movie but still a little messy.
Steppenwolf. Now that was improvement. Great scary character, great motive and no shitty CGI. However I did not like how easily he beat the Amazonians. That was bad writing for me and speeded up scene. There should have been a lot more fighting and a lot more drops of blood from him.
And finally Darkseid. Loved every part of him. Except the part where he forgot the Earth is where he was almost killed and where he lost the motherboxes. I get it he was hurt, merely escaping death but to forget the planet? And don't go with that but the Earth was not called like that when he attacked first. Do you really think that he said I want to attack Earth next in searching for the Anti-Life Equation? Okay the motherboxes maybe were some sort of GPS to guide him, but to have him and everyone else around him forget where was the planet where he found the Anti-Life Equation? Come on poor writing. There is no excuses. If he did not found the equation the first time that he came, okay I'll believe that he forgot Earth because they defeated him and he was humiliated. But he found what he was looking for in the first place. No matter what, even if they attacked him in his home planet when he came back, even if there was a cough, at least one of his generals would have remembered it. So again bad writing and poor excuse.
And I hated the prologues and also jumping from Superman dying and the motheboxes activating to Batman finding Aquaman. Yes we know that he knows about him from BvS, but out of nowhere the scene cuts into Batman searching for him. And don't get me started on Mera. How can WB still be behind her I have no idea. How can Zack make her so powerful I have no idea. Standing with an abuser and a liar. Bad bad WB. She needs to go.
The nightmare scene was good and it gave us a glimpse of what is going to happen which made us all even more wanting for Zack to finish his project and the idea that he has. But I am not sold on Jared Leto as Joker. Not a good actor for my taste and not a good Joker. It looks like he is trying so hard to not look like he is trying so hard. Same as Ezra, never liked them. I do however hope they change my mind and prove me wrong but I don't think that they are that good of actors. And no this is not nobody can replace Heath (they can't, he was natural, he was amazing), because Joaquin did a great job, although that was not a superhero movie and I don't know how he will be in action sequences, but I am more than willing to have him rather then the one that we have right now. Jared Leto sucks.
And I really wanted to see some more of Marian Manhunter, but hopefully we will see him when and if Zack makes his second movie.
And that is my opinion on Zack Snyder's Justice League.
Feel free to leave you opinions below and I am looking forward to discussing it with you.
