Making money playing games seems to good to be true, right? Wrong. But be advised! You know if something its to good to be true it probably is... You either will have to invest a lot of money (and there is a chance you can lose it of course), or you will have to invest a lot of time and/or you will have to be lucky! But i tought, ok, but if the game is fun, even if i pay a small entry fee, nothing goes really to waste. I have spent all my life paying and wasting time playing games and i never had the chance of earning money, so this is surely a win-win. So, I decided to investigate, download and play some of these games to look for the fun grind. At least the ones I had the money/knowledge ratio to play. I bet you too already spent a lot of hours playing random games and spending money on them without earning nothing (except fun of course). So, that’s what you must bear in mind! If the game is fun you aren’t “wasting time” really, right? So, lets find some fun games that can earn you (luckily) some cash.
***I will keep this article as simple as possible giving just the basic information for each game. In the future I will make a more detailed guide as I play and research more about each game. If I missed some game, or some information please let me know in the comments***
(Some of these games have a referral system that can give you (and me) perks and bonus in game. If you want to use them, I will leave the links below)
AXIE INFINITY
I had to start with this one of course. The king of blockchain games. That’s one of the reasons I started with this one. The other reason is, I want you to understand that I’m not an expert on crypto nor blockchain nor NTF. I simply like the stock, you know? So as a gamer and investor I had to do my research on this brave new world. But I cant invest the money needed on this game. Its just too expensive for a “newbie”. The gas fees are through the roof, and I have no way of knowing if the axis value will go up. In short, in this game you need to buy 3 axies (the cheapest right know it’s around 100 dollars each, so more than 300 just to get started, and you will have weak axis, (especially if, like me, you never played before and you don’t know what to look for) to either go on adventure mode (recommended if you are starting) or battle against other player (where you probably will lose if you bought the cheapest axies). In either mode you will win Love Potions that you can sell because they are used for breeding axies (that’s the way people make money, they just breed axies and then sell them on the market). But if you really want to play the game and don’t have the funds to get started don’t give up just yet! You have another way. You can go on the axie infinity discord channel (link below) and find some angel investors that will loan you their axies for a percentage of your earnings. But be careful with scams, usually these investors are trusted members of the community and they will just give you an account with axies. Then they will go into the account after you play ,collect the earnings and then give you your percentage. So, the maximum you can lose is your time if they don’t pay you after. But hey, time is money! So look for trusted members.

Gods Unchained
As Axie Infinity had to be the first, Gods Unchained has to be the second! Why? Because this one is not only completely free, but it is also amazing and fun (I am not saying Axies isn’t fun, I just didn’t get to play the game!). If you are a Hearthstone/card games fan like me playing this game is a no brainer. If you are a HS fan, you will love Gods Unchained. So, if you played HS this is basically the same, only the card names, abilities and hero (in this case gods) powers change. You have a very cool “favor” system where you can exchange favor points to buy cards in a 3-card pool that’s available to both players. The con is, if you want to build a deck and you are missing a card you have to buy it from the market, but the pro is if you have luck and pull a legendary from a pack you can sell it for profit! Technically you will have to pull 2 before you can sell, and now with the gas fees the market is “closed” but I won’t get in detail here in this post. I will do a separate one for Gods Unchained as it’s the game I’ve played the most of all in this list. You have ranked matches and a weekend event where you will win lots of packs including a guaranteed legendary if you reach level 25. Plus, Gods Unchained is giving away $20 to each person who completes some simple in-game missions. If you enter this code when signing up: yfGIsgfGCf I get $5 too!

SPLINTERLANDS
Another card game, but it’s not like Hearthstone/Gods Unchained. You have the same collect cards and fight scheme, but the fighting here is a little bit different. You have up to 6 slots and a mana limit to play the cards that changes every ranked match. This keeps things fun and interesting. You can also buy/sell cards as NTFs, you have guilds, and a lot of updates coming, like buying land (you can buy it already) to gather resources and craft items to use in game. One of the most fun games of this list, if you like card games this one and gods unchained are a no brainer. Just keep in mind that in this one you have to spend 10$ to buy the spell book and start playing for real. But 10$ for a fun a game it’s actually very cheap.

Lost Relics
You like blockchain games? You like diablo? Path of Exile? If so, this one is for you. You start in Talmuth and this village is your base of operations. You can stash your items, craft them, meet other players buy weapons and so on. Then you go to the adventure zone where you have dungeons with different difficulties to grind. Just don’t forget if you die you will loose your items unless they are blockchain items. And if they are blockchain you can buy and sell them too for real money. The other items you can buy them too with in game currency. Right now you have a transcendent weapon (of single use) in the daily quests and a lot of updates coming so hurry!

My Crypto Heroes
This one has a lot of users. I don’t know why really. Maybe it was one of the 1st games, I don’t know. You have guilds, quests and battles so a lot to do. And you can sell NTFs for some money. I’ll give it another shot but for now I’m not really into it. All browser, fights in text, bad graphics. But I played 5min per day for a week, so maybe I have to play a little bit more to get in it.

Sorare
Panini and/or fantasy football fans, get your wallet ready, this one is for you. Long story short you have to collect (buy…) football players cards to put in a 5-player team to compete in tournaments that use the real life performances to give points to the players. For the rookie tournament you only need the common cards (you will get 10 when you start the game – and if you want a larger budget use the referral link below), but for the other tournaments you will need rare cards, that you have to buy from the market for real money. The referral code gives you a free rare card after you buy 5 new signings on the market.

NBA TOP SHOT
This one is like Sorare, but instead of players you collect NBA plays. You have to buy packs, but then you can sell everything. The difference is you can’t play with your NTF’s so it’s basically a collecting game. They have NBA licensing so maybe in the future we can see integration in a game or just imagine with NBA 2K? That would be awesome. Keep an eye out, especially if you are a NBA fan.

F1 DELTA
If you are a F1 enthusiast and you don’t want to spend hundreds of dollars in a game don’t even think of opening this site! I advise not to buy nothing now (gas fees), but in the future when they solve this problem (they are currently doing so), it will be very hard to resist. To race you only need to buy a car, wheels and a driver (you have different rarity), but you can buy a lot of stuff to modify both. They have F1 and MotoGP licenses, they have their own token and I have to say, I’m excited to play this game. You can also buy a car and stake it to earn money. So maybe there’s a possibility to loan a car to play without spending much money.

EARTH 2
Want to have a piece of land on the real world? Maybe your house? Office? The statue of liberty? This is the game for you. You can buy land everywhere on earth, but we don’t know yet what we can do with them. You can flip them (I bought land one month ago, and it’s way more expensive now), or you can wait to see how the game turns out. You will be able to mine resources in your land, and in game footage video seems incredible, but in terms of gameplay we don’t know nothing as I write this article. When you use my Referral Code to buy new land we will both receive 5% credit of the purchase amount. (Not valid for User to User sales)

UPLAND
Upland is basically like earth2 but at the same time is completely different. Why? So, you buy land for money (in game currency that can be bought with money) like earth2, but you only have 4 areas to buy instead the entire world. Seems worse? But no. Because you have things to do in Upland. And you can earn interest on your properties. But it gets better, you can start with no money, you just have to sweat your way to 10k in game currency to become an Uplander and start to sell properties. Join now to buy those FSA properties that are super cheap and enjoy a lot of new updates including building that are coming very soon.

SKYWEAVER
I have to be honest here, it’s a private beta for now. I didn’t play that much but it’s like hearthstone/splinterland. You have cards, heroes, and fight. I won’t say anything more because I have to play more. But if you want to try it out, I have 3 keys, just Dm. Quickly. I only have 3.

DECENTRALAND / SANDBOX
I know these two are super-hot right now, but that’s exactly why I put them together. This list is kind of a beginner guide, and for now, as fun as they are, they have a big money barrier that doesn’t allow anyone to enter. Let’s see if they lower land prices in the future or have some cheaper/free way to enter (and enjoy the game and earn). I roamed around decentraland for a while, but without land I saw no point. Sandbox I will wait for next land drop and see.

Upcoming Games:
Excited with the one already here? Wait to see what’s to come! I must mention Mirandus. It’s from Gala games (I didn’t mention Townstar because I didn’t tried it yet but I will, and then I will review for you) and it seems awesome. So, by now the only thing you can do it’s buy land (I think it sold out) but this one has a difference from other games. It seems that you will be able to buy/rent spaces in other people land. Now you can say, but other games will do that surely right? Maybe yes, but the truly exciting thing here is that the game it’s in a medieval theme so, we can imagine a king ruling his piece of land, and then we arrive to his reign, and just buy/rent a space and start to build swords and sell, and earn our way up in the kingdom. Am I being to nerdy or this doesn’t sound awesome??? Keep an eye on this one for sure. Ember Swords it’s another one in the same genre to look out for. Six dragons too, it’s in alpha now but seems great also.
If you already have some knowledge on blockchain games you can see I have left out some games. That’s because I haven’t played them, and I don’t have the sufficient info to talk about them. So, in my next post I’ll try to talk about not just them, but to review every new updates and info I gather about the games on this list. But if you want to check them out for yourself, the most notable games I didn’t mention are: MoonCatRescue, CryptoKitties, Evolution Land, MegaCryptoPolis, TownStar, CryptoFighters, Ethverse, CryptoCats, BlockChain Cutties, Space Misfits, Illuvium, Roblox, 2nd Life, CryptoVoxels, Neon District and the new ICO sensation MyNeighbourAlice.
If I left any game out, or if you see some wrong or left out information, please leave it in the comments below. We will all appreciate that. I’m no expert, and I’m here to learn as I go.
