I have contributed about $80 USD of my own money from my wages / sales I've done on external websites to get put into the ATOM staking pool to boost my numbers up a bit, but excluding that, our overall profit is significantly lower than what you would expect, BUT I'm doing this because I want to, not because I need to. 
No matter which way you look at it and paint the picture, I am significantly lower than the overall balance I would like to be able to achieve, I truly do believe that in a long term aspect I'll be able to make a significant dent in the 1 milly marker.
