3. South Korea to Grant $3.2 Million to Blockchain Companies

Two South Korean ministries, The Ministry of Science and ICT (Information and Communications Technology) and the Ministry of Information and Communication Industry Promotion have announced their support for the blockchain industry in the country with plans to allocate up to $3.2 million in funding to local startups to encourage the use of such technology. 4. BitMEX Blames Two DDoS attacks For Crashing Its Exchange

Some traders have blamed Bitcoin futures exchange BitMEX for causing the extreme Bitcoin price crash. BitMEX has revealed that the DDoS attack bringing BitMEX down resulted in widespread liquidations, exaggerating the price slide. BitMEX admitted to misdiagnosing this as a "hardware failure." As a result, a destructive domino effect ensued, ultimately causing the BitMEX outage. 5. Indian Government Inspected Crypto Businesses of the Country

The government of India has informed Lok Sabha, the lower house of parliament, about the Ministry of Corporate Affairs' inspection of cryptocurrency businesses. Minister of State for Finance and Corporate Affairs Anurag Singh Thakur explained: “Bitcoin companies are not defined under the Companies Act. 6. Alibaba's Import E-Commerce Platform Adopts Blockchain Traceability System

Alibaba announced its import e-commerce platform Koala has updated its products to include a full-link traceability blockchain system. The report revealed that the integration of Ant Financial’s blockchain in the Koala platform allows online buyers to find out the purchasing goods detailed logistic information through scanning a QR code with Alipay. 7. Report: Bitcoin (BTC) Could Be in New Accumulation Stage

Bitcoin (BTC) endured one of its biggest sell-offs last week, plunging by nearly 50 percent in one day. However, the hodlers who were burned by the market crash are now coming back, according to Glassnode data. The firm, which analyses Bitcoin's on-chain data, spotted that its HODLer Net Position Change model, which helps determine when whales are selling or buying BTC, flashed green after the brutal price dump. Toyota has declared its deeper aspirations for blockchain technology within the automotive industry. Toyota Motor Corporation (Toyota) and Toyota Financial Services Corporation revealed a previously launched "cross-group virtual organization" known as Toyota Blockchain Lab on March 16, announcing the group had been operational since April 2019 alongside four other Toyota group subsidiaries.
