Hello fellow Cointipliers!
Crypto faucets are a great way to stack crypto pennies but if you only stick to the faucet, PTC ads and shortlinks you really won't get anywhere any time soon. On Cointiply, maximizing your faucet claims with 100% loyalty + clicking all PTC ads and short videos would barely earn a couple thousands coins per day, even if you throw in a few Chat Rain Pools.
Offers and, mostly, surveys is where the bulk of the money is. We are still talking about pocket money but depending on your country, demographics and potential boost items you could be making 30k-50k coins per hour. Yes most surveys are boring, yes many of them pay next nothing, and yes this is not an exact science and at time it can be hard to just qualify for anything. But in the long run, surveys represent a steady stream of Satoshi. Every high level users you have/will encounter on Cointiply, including myself, only swear by surveys.
Cointiply offers a large panel of survey providers and is frequently updating its rooster with new providers or removing not satisfying ones. Desktop Cointiply offers no less than 15 survey providers while the mobile app only have 6, with inBrain being unique to Cointiply mobile. Either way, that's plenty of resources to, hopefully, find one or more provider you like and start making money.
Let review here the basics, different providers, best practices and few tips and tricks to make the most of your survey time!
Completing Surveys - The Basics
The Don'ts
Surveys can be boring, surveys can be easy but either way, there are a few basic rules you want to follow to keep doing this in the long run. You could end up on a permanent ban from a survey provider, or Cointiply entirely, for not following a few simple rules. All these rules are very standard across survey providers and crypto faucets.
- No VPN (Virtual Private Network) in order to cheat your geographic location.
- Do not create false/alternative identify to fit a survey. Surveys tend to memorize and store some of your answers. Occasionally surveys are review afterwards for quality control. If it appears that you are running dozens of parallel lives to fit every survey you encounter you are not only risking to get some coins back charged but you are also risking to be banned from Cointiply.
- No gibberish. At times, text answers are needed, sometimes real sentences. Similarly to the point above, you are likely to be flaged in the mid to long run and sanctioned. If really a survey gets to annoying for you, just quite the survey.
- Do not speed to the expense of realistic and coherent answers. Some surveys have "check questions" where you will be asked to select a specific answer. Make sure you read the questions. Not answering correctly to these check questions will get you disqualified. Also, random answering to get through the survey as fast as possible is likely to come out as incoherent answers anyway and sanctions may apply.
The Dos
In order to make your survey sessions more interesting and more lucrative, there are a few common sense rules that can help you make your experience... less boring.
Learn to work your way fast through the demographic questions. These questions will always be there at the beginning of virtually every survey (sometimes they are at the end). These questions are always the same: Male/Female? Age? State of residency? Zip code? Married/Single? etc... At some point you won't be reading the question and will know what to answer based on the answers themselves. Cruising through these questions can easily save you 60 to 90 seconds per survey.
Be consistent and coherent across the answers of your surveys. The opposite of the "Don't" above, keeping your answers honest and consistent will ensure you to always be able to complete surveys and have virtually no charge backs.
Be mindful of the reward/time ratio when selecting your surveys. I know it's very seems obvious but making the most coins from surveys depends on these two factors - time and reward. By constantly choosing short surveys you may undercut your long term gains. If you have at least 15-20 minutes ahead of you to complete surveys, going after higher paying surveys (but also longer ones) is often the best strategy.
Scroll and sort your surveys options. Most, if not all, survey providers offer dozens and dozens of different surveys. Not all appears on the first/main page so don't forget to scroll down and populate more surveys for a better choice. Sorting the surveys by time and/or payout is good practice to ensure you always chose the survey with an optimal reward/time ratio at any given time.
A final word of general advice, if this is the first time you are going to give surveys a shot, be a little bit patient and take your chance on several surveys before delivering your verdict. At times, even with TheoremReach (my favorite survey provider) there is just no good survey available and I'll only make 5000 coins in 30 minutes and won't be able to qualify for a high paying survey. Don't get discouraged and try again another day. There are way more good days than bad ones.
Cointiply Survey Providers
15 survey providers are available through Cointiply. Not all are equals, not all are available for all geographic locations, and not all even have a functional link at times.
TheoremReach
TheoremReach used to be the most popular survey provider. It had fell a little bit out of flavor lately with the rise of CPX but TheoremReach is always a favorite provider to go to. Surveys can be basically divided in 2 categories - surveys that pays a little something even if you don't qualify for the whole survey, and the others.
TheoremReach is in the first group and the only provider with a highly dynamic payout when you don't qualify for the whole survey. While 51 coins is the minimal payment if you enter the survey and get disqualified before the end, the "disqualifying" payment can get much higher - 102 coins, 510 coins or even as high as 4,080 coins (my personal record high).
On top of that unique and very desirable feature, TheoremReach proposes surveys with wide a range of payouts and completion times. Every time I'm in for some surveys, I'm making sure I check what TheoremReach has to offer.
Pollsish
Also available on Cointiply mobile platform, Pollfish usually offers high-paying, but high completion time surveys. You will frequently find 10k+ coins surveys here and only a handful with a payout below 4,000 coins.
Only a about a dozen of surveys are displayed at a time, but you can click the "refresh arrow" (top right of the Pollfish window) to get new surveys, including from time to time a "hot survey" with a great reward/time ratio.
The reward/time ratio from Pollfish surveys can vary widely and not all surveys, even if paying 12k coins, are a good opportunity. Although you can frequently find a 6k-8k coins survey for under 10 minutes (which is a great reward/time ratio) you are risking losing your time since Pollfish offers ZERO compensation for attempting or getting disqualified from surveys. For that reason, my advice here is to only target short surveys (~5-8 minutes max) with a great reward (>5,000 coins). Finally, completing your profile as you first attempt to complete survey with Pollfish will earn you 1,530 coins.
CPX Research
CPX Research now the to dog of survey provider, with usually a good range of payouts and completion times. It's now my first choice over TheoremReach or if I have exhausted my daily quota of surveys with ThoremReach (it happens if you complete a lots of surveys).
CPX Research surveys can be sorted by payout, completion time and best matching surveys (top right icon) to help you find the best survey available at any given time. I usually sort by highest paying and then scroll to find those with the lowest completion times. From time to time, CPX Research has a lot of high-paying surveys available, up to 51,000 coins! I had a few successes with 10k+ coins surveys with a completion time under 10 minutes, but qualifying for these is not very common.
Look for surveys with the red flame as they usually have a better than average reward/time ratio.
If you start a survey, CPX Research will pay at least 51 coins, but no really more (I had once 204 coins), if you get disqualified at some point during the survey. That's better than nothing but it still hurts when you are several minutes into a survey and then kicked out. I also found that qualifying for full surveys was harder on average than with TheoremReach, so be ready to try a good amount of surveys before finally being able to complete one.
YourSurveys, Yuno, Wannads and SaySo
These are the four other survey providers that I have tried in the past with Cointiply desktop version, without much success or without beating the rewards and experience I was having with TheoremReach. Nonetheless, the four providers below are often positively cited by other Cointiply users so you may want to give them a chance.
While you can certainly find surveys with good payouts or that fit more your demographics, I simply found that TheoremReach was better overall for me. Once again, the simple fact that TheoremReach pays and can pay "big" for survey disqualification is a big advantage over all other providers.
In full disclosure, I have not tried any of the 8 other survey providers available on Cointiply. So yes, I may be missing even better opportunities. But I have not seen other users heavily supporting the other providers.
Mobile Version
Cointiply surveys on the mobile platform work very much the same as the desktop platform with two noticeable differences however. Only 6 survey providers are currently available for mobile phones: TheoremReach, Pollfish, CPX Research, Yuno, YourSurveys and inBrain, which is only available for the mobile platform.
TheoremReach, Yuno, Pollfish, CPX Research and YourSurveys propose the same features as their desktop counterparts. So not surprisingly I'm mostly sticking to TheoremReach on both Cointiply platforms.
inBrain
I had used inBrain in the past as a complement to TheoremReach but not so much lately. inBrain only proposes a small selection of surveys with standard reward/time ratios. If this is still current, inBrain has a little level system where, according to them, you get more/better surveys as you level up. You can get a small amount of coins as you level up as well. In the end, I could not really see any difference between level and the last level (it's relatively easy to reach). It may be worth it at least while you are still leveling up, but overall TheoremReach is still superior.
Optimizing Your Survey Sessions
In essence, surveys are the art of making the most coins in the least amount of time. In other words, you want to maximize your time in order to maximize your earnings.
Here are a few tips and tricks I'm using to maximize my survey earnings. Nothing extraordinary but when you put all of them together you'll find your Cointiply earnings shooting through the roof. You can expect to rake 20k-30k coins per hour on average once you get familiar with the different providers and optimize your survey time. Good survey sessions with good boosts can yield over 50,000 coins per hour!
Selecting The Best Reward/Time Ratio Surveys
To optimize your earnings, it is critical to select surveys with the highest Reward/Time ratio as much as possible. You always need to consider these two basic factors - reward & completion time. Let's take an example with a TheoremReach survey panel below.
There's a little bit of everything, high paying, low paying, short & long completion time. Which one(s) is the best? Which one(s) are to avoid? Let's take a look at their reward/time ratio.
With the ratios now, it clearly appears that the first survey, paying 7,752 coins, has the best ratio and would get you the most bang for your time. At the other extreme, the survey paying 3,417 coins has the worst ratio and it would really be a waste of time to try to go after it. Ok, but overall, what is a good reward/time ratio?
As far as I'm concerned a good ratio is in the 300-500 coins/min range. Any survey with a reward/time ratio above 500 coins/min is really worth attempting. Anything below 300 coins/min is most likely not worth it.
With this in mind, I'm trying to find a sweet spot considering all these factors. I'm considering a 300-500 coins/min ratio but I'm also aiming for surveys under 10 minutes. Long surveys can be frustrating and high paying surveys can be hard to qualify for, therefore wasting your time.
As you get proficient at completing surveys you will be able to go through the demographic questions very quickly, saving you a minute or two compared to the estimated completion time. A survey like the middle one in the panels above (1,429 coins for 5 min) could probably be completed in 4 or even 3 minutes. If you can complete it in 3 minutes, the reward/time ratio now becomes 472 coins/min, a very acceptable ratio.
High Paying Surveys Are Often The Best Bet
A little bit in opposition with what I just said, going after high paying surveys is often the best thing to do if you are after the money. Despite lower chances to fully qualify, and the potential to waste your time, the reward/time ratio is almost always way above average. Another advantage, especially if you go after high paying survey via TheoremReach is that you might get a good chunk of coins even if you get disqualified early. You can sometime get thousands of coins after only answering a few questions and being kicked out. In my example earlier in this article, I got 4,080 coins after being disqualified and, most of all, after only a minute or two in the survey. You just can't beat that kind of reward/time ratio.
Below is an example with a great selection from CPX Research. I would try all of them. Unlikely to qualify for all of them but if I can get through just one the reward would be worth it. I would definitely start with these ones over mid-paying surveys.
Change Survey Providers If Needed
We all have our favorite survey provider(s) but if nothing looks promising after multiple refreshs and sortings, just change provider. There's no reason to lower your reward expectations, keep chasing your coins!
There are better time periods than other to get better surveys and if really there's nothing good just don't "waste" your time. It may be time to check another faucet all at once? Have you tried FireFaucet yet?
Use Boost Items
This is a critical step to really boost your survey earnings in the long run - use boost items! I explain Cointivity, pods and equippable/consumable items here.
Equippable items will give you a permanent boost whether you complete one 2-minute survey or you spend 2 hours in a row. You should try to fil your 4 equippable item slots as soon as possible.
Temporary boost items will increase your earnings anywhere between 1h to 3 days. While you may not want to use boost items for 2 or 3 surveys you certainly want to maximize them when you know you can complete surveys for at least 45-60 minutes. When I know I'm able to do so, I use my best boost items to complete as many surveys as possible. In a situation like the following one, I have a total of +42% boost on my earnings and this will make a big difference.
If your inventory is empty and you don't have enough Cointipoints to buy pods, it is certainly worth buying pods directly with coins! (provided you have access to good paying US surveys) That situation is likely to happen if you are new to Cointiply, and this is what I did when I started completing more and more surveys on Cointiply.
With 1,000 coins you can buy a common pod and get 3 items, most likely consumable items. Buy enough pods to have enough consumable items to fill all of you consumable item slots. In 1 hour of surveys, you will earn more coins with the boost than the 1,000 coins you used to purchase the pod. If you can spend more than one hour it's pure gravy. So there's no reason not to use, or buy, boost items if you are starting a survey session. In the long run, buying pods increase your chances to get better equippable items and complete collections, leading to even better earning boosts.
Final Words
If you want to make the most of Cointiply, or any other crypto faucet, completing surveys is inevitable. Sure we are still talking about beer money at best but with good practices, boosts and optimization you can really make a dent in your crypto earnings.
Claiming your faucet and do all the PTCs you want will only get you a few $ per week at best. By adding surveys to your menu you could earn $3-$5 per hour on a regular basis. Even simply completing a survey or two per day will earn you 10x more than the same amount of time spent clicking on PTCs. Most users ignore surveys because it's boring (Ok, it is a littlie bit) and returns are not "guarantee". The truth is, that's the only way to earn tens of thousands of coins day after day.
Good luck with your surveys! Don't hesitate to ask questions in the comments!
