What do you do when you found a fiend in a friend?
Those who would gladly to the butcher have you send!
What do you do when the right one loves you wrongly?
What do you do to a friend who has become a stranger?
How do you fix a lie that has gone on for too long?
How do you move on from any of this? Smile
What a dumb thing to do, you'd say? Smile
The problem is we try so hard to control everything
We try too much to change how people perceive us
We spend our lives seeking for people's approval
At the detriment of what we have come to believe in
The truth is, haters are always going to hate
And those who love you would love you, regardless
When you experience an act of betrayal, smile
Smile because you have known better
Smile because you can differentiate between a friend and a foe
Smile because life is filled with lessons
Don't go around trying to prove a point
To those who are hell-bent on painting you black
Be original, learn from it and watch your goodness change that wrong narrative
