Childhood is a dream we all want to live in

The never-ending joy before reality sets in

The laughter that comes from deep down

And the life of ease without any worry

You eat happily, not minding the addition of curry

You have so much energy right inside you

Channelling it to everything and just anything

As a child, you just want to live and feel the rush

That rush of emotions - adrenaline flowing through your veins

Nothing else matters but the excitement in the moment

Can you blame anyone for not wanting to grow up?

We all have a child deep inside us

The reality of life sometimes snuff it out

We try to show it occasionally too

But we all want to go back to our early childhood

Reality sometimes is just too painful

Responsibilities keep piling up

And most people play politics with everyone's lives
