How does the saying go?
"You can't teach an old dog new tricks..."
Actually it can be done... My German Shepherd is now 10-years old, and is actually discovering and remembering certain adverts and television series. He has also acquired a taste for and sings Opera music - or should I say howls, but somewhat in tune. Quite impressive.
Basically to cut a long story short, it seems that with technology, the older generation can be a little low-key stubbornly confuse about it... This brings me quite very much to my very own dear mother.
Mom can tend to be slightly what I call 'computer paranoid'. No matter how many times one tries to explain the good, the bad and the ugly side of the Internet, what is spam, what is not, what is safe to download, what is not - I think you can get the general idea... Anything to do with a computer explained to her just does not stick. Yet she is fantastic when it comes to using eBay© or buying the groceries and arranging delivery... She is easily spooked by something new.
Cryptocurrency, Bitcoin, Altcoin - however she understands what Shitcoin is - seems to have become the devil in disguise in confusion. She states for the record that it has taken her 64-years to understand regular good old fashioned cash.
Understanding Bitcoin is not her strong point... She understands Bitcoin junk in her email spam folder, but has processed that as all things Bitcoin are evil and need to die! 😱
Okay maybe things are being a little bit overcooked by myself... But I could really do with the help trying to explain Bitcoin to her, possibly in layman's terms (as easy as possible - mom language).
So my question to you good people who enthuse all things Crypto... Could you please help decipher Cryptocurrency slash Bitcoin for my dear aging technology paranoid mother?
Thank you
