While writing my last post I had the inkling of an idea. What are some of the typical attributes of a Crypto User? So I took a couple of hours to pour over some articles and really think about some of the trends I see here and on other Blockchain Social Media sites. I've come up with a few attributes I think are core to most Crypto Users. The reason I decided to take the time to create this article is number one I needed to know the answer and number two I think if you want to be a part of the Crypto community, either as a contributor or creator, I believe knowing your audience and how they operate is a huge factor. When you understand how your intended audience thinks it makes creating content for them infinitely easier.Â
Now small disclaimer, I don't science, I don't know how to science. What I do know is observation and how to read lots of articles about the statistics of Crypto users. So yes this is 100% my opinion. Now with that out of the way, these are some of my opinions on what a typical Crypto user believes in/what their attributes are. If you do or don't agree please let me know below, I'd love to know your perspective!
Ambitious
If you look at the majority of articles here on Publish0x almost all of them are centered around Crypto Markets and how to trade better, Crypto News that could affect said Crypto Market or ways to increase your income. Ya'll are some ambitious people, most of my co-workers at my day job don't spend all night or really any time reading about ways to create more time or money for themselves when they get home. That's impressive.
The idea that Crypto users are ambitious is also reflected in a poll 2gether ran of their users in January of 2019. They found the average Crypto user has a job that requires a higher academic level then the general population. Generally speaking higher education = more money, however, for those of you that got your doctorate in Bagpiping, that may not be the case but I'm speaking from a purely broad stance here.
Suspicious
Another term for this may be "Craves Transparency". The typical Crypto user is generally pretty suspicious. I'm not sure if this due to the majority of Crypto Users being Millennial's (as evidenced by this CoinTelegraph article) or if the suspicion is the result of the core reason Crypto was made. It is likely a mix of the two and the truth lies somewhere inbetween. Â
There's a reason why the majority of Cryptocurrencies that work are the most decentralized. There's a reason why there's so many articles out there that bring to light the lack of decentralization that plagues certain currencies. I believe that is due to the general suspicion of centralized networks that the average Crypto user shows.

Open-Minded
Most Crypto junkies are pretty open to about any project out there, which is part of the reason you're here right now! You're willing to check new things out and be proved wrong (or what I like is to be proved right, maybe that's character flaw for me though lol). On doing research for this post one article sited a recent poll that showed those who own Bitcoin are in the top 10% of most open-minded groups out there. Now where this article is, I don't know! I read it or maybe dreamed it but I can't find it now so I hope I didn't make that up.
These last two I like to categorize into..
Maybe Just Internet Culture
Edgy and Memey. Pretty sure those two are just internet culture. I was an edgy kid at one point of my life, I'm sure a lot of you out there were as well. Trolling people and saying offensive things because I wanted people to know how dark and different I was. I still do it now but since I'm in my 20's, I'm classy edgy, with style. Jokes aside, I'm pretty sure those two are just internet culture since Blockchain is a product of the internet. If you have a different idea please let me know below! I'd love to know your perspective.
