Mirage Market: An NFT Marketplace on the Oasis Network by Mirage Labs

The launch of the Oasis Network was a good way to start the 2022 year, considering the extent of the Bear Market that led into it. We had many new projects popping up to fill the many niches of our ecosystem. However, some projects pop up simply to run off with quick bags, and Oasis was no different, with the rugpull of RoseSwap being a high profile instance, unfortunately. Although, you can rest assured that there is a place for respite in this harsh desert of cryptocurrency, and no, it's not a mirage, it's Mirage!

Despite being a fledgling project on a newly launched network, Mirage Market entered the Oasis Network and was able to secure a solid community of foundational supporters. With nothing being rushed, community giveaways taking place, and a solid pool of liquidity being safely locked away; Mirage looks to start off with a proper launch in place.

NFTS

The appeal of NFTs and their marketplaces has been lost on some already - with the most common grievances coming from the unoriginal launches of similar NFT projects across various blockchains, (CryptoPunks, SolPunks, OasisPunks, Bored Ape, Bored Ape Sol, Oasis Apes, etc.). Mirage Market was well aware of this, which is why they aim to feature original art by real community artists for their NFTs. Additionally, they are not limiting themselves to strictly NFTs, they plan to host a variety of products and projects in their ecosystem through the use of Mirage Tokens ($MRG) - the utility token of MIrage.

Mirage Development Fund

Aside from granting the ability to mint NFTs, Mirage looks to support community development through their Mirage Development Fund (MDF). In Mirage's words, "Year 2020-2021, saw lot of upcoming UI/UX designers, engineers, planners, moderators, economists[all Builders] who participated via investments in different projects. Mirage plans to back every idea put forward and backed by community allowing builders to show their expertise and magic to the world. MDF will be setup to distribute funds, guidance and all help to build products. Builders will/can be 100% owners of their products powering the decentralized economy through Mirage.". The point of the fund being to help grow entrepreneurs, building cool products w/ total ownership, and of course, to have fun. In order to ensure fairness and relevance to the ecosystem, all decisions to select projects will be based on the community through a voting system.

Plan of Action

Mirage aims to create a ecosystem where every project benefits from each other.

Phase 1: Will include launching Genesis NFTs ( Fair launch , WL for all mirage token holders).

Phase 2: Will build a rarity tool for all Oasis NFT project, Listing projects need to either purchase 1000 $ROSE worth of $MRG (which is burned by team) or need to buy 2 Genesis NFTs for listing their project.

Phase 3: Would be soft launch of NFT marketplace where again sales revenue will be shared with cactus genesis NFT holders and token holders.

Phase 4: MDF fund eventually will fund projects and team with capital, resources and engineering to develop new ideas. The new projects will use $MRG as utility again decreasing the supply and increasing utility.
