It is a real problem because most of us consume too much mainstream news
I can give you many examples.
I used to rely heavily on the mainstream news media.
Most of our connections in and around LinkedIn used to share links of mainstream news media about many things. We used to have the wrong belief that news from mainstream news media is to be accepted as authentic.
When I verified the authenticity of some of the news through personal acquaintances, in most cases, I found the news presented by the mainstream news media is either fabricated or false!
It happened for social news. It happened for election news.
It happened for economic news. It happened for socio-economic news.
It happened for science and technology news.
It happened for health news.

How do we know that all mainstream news is true?
Mainstream news media will propagate only the binary narratives of the governments. How to get the true news?
To get a real taste of the truth, we need to see alternative news media regularly. Visit Odysee, BitChute, Rumble, etc.
Listen to what the expert virologists, vaccinologists, medical doctors, and researchers are saying.
Don’t rely only on the one side of the narratives propagated by the governments, medical industry, mainstream news media, big techs, and social media giants.
Try to explore the other sides of the narratives.

Do you trust the government administrators?
How could you forget that these administrators came to you for votes during the elections and made huge false propaganda to win elections?
Have they ever kept their promises? Are they financially clean in their past governance? Haven’t they made huge money for themselves and their family members by utilizing their government offices?
How could you accept these political leaders to be truthful and honest to the citizens?
Why shouldn’t you look at the other sides of the narratives?

How could you forget that these authorized medical doctors, academicians, bio-scientists are blind supporters of these political leaders during the elections?

How could you ignore the fact that the less qualified medical professionals are appointed to top positions in government medical bodies to propagate the governments' narratives?
Don’t blindly trust the government-appointed medical professionals.

Don’t dump opinions of the expert virologists, vaccinologists, medical doctors, and researchers as ‘conspiracy theories’ only because the governments do not appoint them to top positions in government medical bodies or are censored by the big techs, mainstream news media, and social media giants.
Look at the video talks by the world-renowned virologists, vaccinologists, medical doctors, and researchers who have long years of experience in treating infectious diseases.
See the freedom protests by the global citizens that have been filtered and censored by the mainstream news media and social media giants.
Visit Odysee, BitChute, Rumble, etc., and look out for the current news on science, technology, and society.
Look at the news from both mainstream and alternative news media -- This is my number one tip for getting true news.

Bringing it altogether
Truth is often hidden in the popular news of the mainstream news media. To get factual information, we need to read/view/listen to news feeds of the alternative news media available on Odysee, BitChute, Rumble, etc. It is for our interest we must view news from both mainstream and alternative news media. If possible, we may also verify the authenticity by cross-checking from personal acquaintances living near the news places.
