one piece chapter wano end
holy Jesus Haha Kaido has got to have one of the worst backstories in all of one piece. just thinking about the chapter, I find myself laughing at how bad it is. Do you know whose backstory it reminded me of, Douglas bullet from the stampede, and we all had issues with how bland that villain was in that movie? Currently, I'm tempted to say that he has a better backstory than Kaido, and better powers too.

BIG MOM's backstory compared to this was way more intriguing. Infinitely better at this current moment.
We got introduced to very important characters and world details through her flashback, we learned why she is like this, and who formed Tottoland with her. Most of all we get to see the important Giant race and their history with Big Mom, very intriguing. On the other hand with Kaido it seems like Oda just gave up and wrote whatever generic strong man backstory for this one. He is really hamming it in and this point. Omg, and where are Yamato and her mother. It seems like he forgets that as well.
Stuff that does not make sense or is absent in Kaido's backstory.
- what about Kaido being the strongest creature, this guy is just a fucking person with horns, went from an intimidating presence in his intro to some kid with anger issues in his backstory. Oh God how badly Kaido's character has fallen. Fuck me this is probably the most lackluster backstory in a lonnnggg time.
2. Suddenly, we get the convenient reveal that Joyboy is the guy who will defeat Kaido, WHAT? are you stupid. before Luffy magically turned into Joyboy we never get the hint that Joyboy was the guy destined to beat Kaido. NO one ever mentioned this during the arc, Hmm King, Kaido could say something in passing. What happened to the 9 shadows, never mind that, did we all forget that Kaido lost so many times and was captured, it's not the first time he’s lost a fight. In the countless numerous times, he lost before did all of them happen to be Joyboy too, eh Kaido?.
3. where did Yamato and her mom come in? I don't know, no glimpse of a scene where kaido meets a lady and starts dating, etc.
4. Why does Kaido want to die, I don’t know, no mention of any obsession with dying anywhere in his backstory. no mention of admiring how legendary figures die either. We still need to get this. throughout this entire arc, I never got the sense that kaido is bored with life. WHAT?
5.kaido's motive is none existent, guy wants the one piece, No Shit bro, you and a million fucking pirates want it, duh, pretty bland motivation.

Damn, I'm really upset at how bad this is, i mean it's going to look amazing in the anime but, everything else is not up there in terms of storytelling.
kaido backstory needs to be longer, see where he comes from, I mean his race, parents, why did he get a reputation as the strongest, rise to yonko, who did he fight, Yamato's parents, take over Wano, where did he learn of joyboy, etc.
