Is it ok to work slower if the pay is lower?

I was last paid $100/hr c2c from intel; these days I see job offers coming in lower; a friend just died who told me bro just work slower.

What does the Publish0x community think is it OK to work slower if they wont pay your what your worth. Consider inflation has occurred too. $68-80/hr offers are insulting as adjusted for inflation it would be close to $200 real inflation number 10% /yr. intel contracted to re-employee after the drivers where written for several thousand and hour.

What you think should I work for less and work less hard? It seems the Ethical thing to do...
