Here is a funny poem that I composed. It is a limerick, a type of poem written in five lines. Do you know that there is a place in Ireland called Limerick? I hope you like it.

When Lee told a lie to Lou

But it was not at all true

Said Lou to Lee

"How low you be?"

He gave him a slap in lieu

Not Another Poem

As Wordsworth once said, " Poetry is the spontaneous overflow of powerful feelings...." I feel that poetry is the highest form of literary work. Today, people tend to overlook poetry, never realizing that poetry is everywhere. It is in songs, quotes, speeches and in so many literary and non literary works. I begin my journey to impress poets and non poets alike. Nevertheless, I believe everyone is a poet, composing ephemeral verses every now and then consciously or unconsciously.
