Welcome to my blog.

This first entry is a short introduction to me and why I decided to start this journey.

I am in my mid thirties and I have started a "get out of debt" goal for myself

I loosely follow the "Debt Snowball" approach, made famous by Dave Ramsey.

Over the course of the last year or so, I really wanted to find an at least semi-passive way to make income.

Mining BTC just stuck out to me as the way to go but the seemingly high initial cost of doing so made me hesitate at first. Even the most basic miner was listed at $920.

Still determined, I went out to a major retailer and bought a basic laptop for $303, and have purchased hash rate from a cloud mining service as well as having started the process of downloading Bitcoin Core onto said laptop.

More details on specs and costs associated so far with this venture in my next post.

Headed to work

Off from work til Friday after today so hopefully plenty of time to document any and all progress
