Eastern European Gypsy folklore cites an offspring of a woman and a male vampire grow up into a vampire hunter, called a Dhampire.
They do not live as long as humans, because they have no bones just a thick rubber plasma within their bodies. Dhampires can see Vampires even if the Vampire is invisible.
Another credible skill is they can extend a stake out of any other weapon, even a gun to use against a vampire in order to destroy it.
The last well known Dhampire was hunting in Kosova 1959. When a Dhampire dies it must have a effective funeral or it will morph into a Vampire.
The character Blade was a Dhampire in the Marvel comics
