FOMO App Guide: Social Trading, Rewards and How to Start

Social trading is having a real moment in crypto right now, and FOMO is the app most of crypto Twitter can not stop talking about. It turns memecoin and token trading into something closer to a live broadcast: watch a public feed of trades, follow top traders, and climb a leaderboard while you do it. If you want to see what the hype is about, you can join through my invite link FOMO and start with a fee discount on your trades.

What FOMO is

FOMO (fomo.family) calls itself a social-first crypto trading platform: a feed-driven app for discovering and trading tokens, with a public leaderboard, trader profiles, and the ability to follow what other users are buying and selling. Alongside spot trading it also offers perpetual futures with leverage (not available to U.S. persons). The app reports more than 500,000 traders on board, with access through iOS, Android, and the web.

How it works step by step

FOMO supports trading across six blockchains: Solana, Base, BNB Chain, Monad, Ethereum, and Robinhood Chain, all from a single account with one cash balance. There is no bridging or network switching involved. You deposit and withdraw in USDC on five of the six chains (USDG on Robinhood Chain, which converts into your Solana USDC balance), pick a token from the live feed or leaderboard, and trade. Perpetual futures are available for users who want leveraged exposure rather than spot positions.

Key features and advantages

  • Public feed and leaderboard: see what other traders are buying, selling, and how they are performing.
  • Single balance across six chains, with no bridging or manual network switching.
  • Spot trading and perpetual futures in the same app (perps not available to U.S. persons).
  • Lower fees on select major tokens, and an automatic discount for anyone who signs up with a referral code.
  • Access from iOS, Android, and the web, with a reported 500,000-plus traders on the platform.

The referral program

Every FOMO user gets a personal referral link in the format fomo.family/r/username. When someone signs up using your link, you earn 25 percent of their trading fees automatically, deposited straight into your cash balance (on EVM chains like Base, BNB Chain, and Monad this applies to every trade; on Solana it starts from the referred user’s second trade). The person who signs up through the link also benefits directly: they get a 10 percent discount on trading fees, paying 0.45 percent instead of the standard 0.50 percent on every trade. Referral codes can only be entered once, at signup, so it is worth using one from the start rather than skipping it. My link is here if you want in: FOMO.

Fees and what to expect

FOMO charges 0.50 percent per trade on Base, BNB Chain, Monad, and Robinhood Chain, 0.50 percent plus network fees on Ethereum, and on Solana either a flat minimum of up to 0.50 USDC on orders under 100 USDC or 0.50 percent above that. Select major tokens carry a reduced 0.05 percent fee, shown directly on the token’s page in the app. Gas, priority fees, and token rent are covered by FOMO on every chain except Ethereum. Signing up with a referral code brings the standard rate down to 0.45 percent from the start.

Worth knowing before you deposit

None of this makes FOMO risk-free, and it is worth staying clear-eyed about that before putting any money in. The platform is not a regulated broker or exchange, there is no FDIC or SIPC style protection, and perpetual futures are leveraged instruments that can move fast in either direction. Memecoin and low-cap token trading in general carries a high risk of losing your full position quickly. Treat it like any other early-stage crypto product: promising and actively growing, but still worth researching in-app (fees, supported chains, and terms can change) before committing real size. Start small, and only trade what you can afford to lose.

Final CTA

If the social trading format sounds like your kind of crypto app, the easiest way to try it is to start small: deposit a small amount, follow a couple of active traders on the leaderboard, and see how the feed feels before committing more. You can join through my referral link here FOMO. Signing up through it gets you the 10 percent fee discount automatically, and it also sends a small referral reward back my way at no extra cost to you, which is part of why I am covering the app in the first place.
