Hardware wallet manufacturer Trezor has released the beta version of Trezor Suite to the public, according to an announcement made on October 14, stating that the new desktop wallet will reduce exploits as a result of phishing.
- Trezor’s new desktop app for hardware wallets is now available to the public for download; it is also available on the browser
- The new app has been described as more strongly supporting usability, security and privacy, and allows users to manage their wallet and portfolio in one location
- The team was motivated to offer a desktop app, as the browser providers attackers with greater opportunity to engage in attacks
- The beta will continue until January 2021, with the full release expected later sometime in 2020
